Wanda inspects the cookie dough she's working on and adds some more ingredients. She nods in satisfaction as that is mixed in and she begins putting it out onto a couple of cookie sheets as the small oven signals her to let her know its ready. She quickly slides one of the cookie sheets in, tapping a timer on her phone and going back to her work.

When she turns around, she finds a piece of dough missing from the second sheet and catches the merest glimpse of a small form vanishing out through the doorway.

"You can ask, you know, you don't have to steal it," she says, pausing her work to move after the thief.

The only response is the sound of eating and a happy chattering, clucking sound behind the common room couch.

Wanda walks over to the couch, leaning over it quietly and slowly to try to see what's behind it.

A short, slender humanoid creature resembling some kind of weasel or ferret but with webbed digits and a fin on its head is happily gobbling up the last of the glob of dough. It seems to be wearing a shifting suit. It suddenly looks to her with a startled squeak and, out of thin air, a small, pressurized jet of water is launched at her face.

Wanda splutters as the water sprays her in the face. She blinks the water and glares at the creature, "Okay, not funny. What's going on here?"

He(?) appears dissatisfied with his weak attack but the blue-ish white furred mustelid little black eyes glare back defiantly anyway.

Wanda frowns, “Can you talk or just glare?”

The giant but still little ferrottsel(?) man's mohawk-fin droops and he makes a break for the exit, only to slam into the door and be stymied by how exactly to get the leverage required to push his way to freedom.

Wanda leans one hand against the door to keep it shut, reaching down with the other hand. "Are you somebody's pet?" It's not clear whether she's talking to herself or still talking to the weird ferret thing.

The creature, wearing what on closer inspection looks very much like an X-Men issue shifting suit, glares up at her looking insulted. "N... pe..." it says, deliberately feeling out what words it is going for.

"Okay. So shifter then and not able to talk," Wanda says, inspecting the creature.

The comment seems to trigger something and the look in its eyes grows more intelligent.

With a look of realization it says with a more clearly male voice, "Shif... ter... yes." He seems to have some kind of Southern US accent. He then cocks his head as if hearing something.

Wanda tries to listen as well, trying to get a sense of what he's listening to. She can't think of any shifters at the school with a Southern US accent, so she asks, "Can you tell me your name?"

He shakes his head. "Not the... namer..."

"Shut it, stupid fish-breath..." he mutters to himself.

"Well, if you're not the namer, then who is?" She raises an eyebrow at the muttered comment.

"Other me?" he answered. "Yes!" he said as if remembering something important, "The human! Toshie! Err... Tosh. I'm part of Tosh."

"Part of Tosh?" Wanda looks at him, "Okay, but the only other part of Tosh I know is Bruce."

"I'm the new hombre," the critter said. Southwestern accent maybe?

"However that happened."

"That's certainly strange," she says, "And Tosh hasn't had the chance to give you a name yet."

"If he's suffering from psychic trauma, you should probably go talk to Professor Terrance or Professor Rede. They're the people most likely to be able to help him."

"Right. Today was the day anyhow," he nodded.

"Thanks for gettin' my head on straight there Wanda. And... sorry 'bout the water. Must come with the weaselness."
