Xaviers!

After finishing her lunch, Katarina rapped on the door of Nika's dorm room.

Moments later the door swings open and Nika is standing at the ready. She's as casual as she gets (outside of practicality during workouts) in a formal blouse.

"Your H-- Katarina." she catches herself.

"You're getting better. I only caught half a syllable there," Katarina deadpanned.

"It's a hard habit to break." she admits a bit sheepishly.

"Well, I assume much of your day is preoccupied with plans to make me look foolish in front of people, so I understand that it might take you a while," Katarina needled -- not mean-spiritedly, but a little pointedly.

"I need you to find someplace that's good for me to take someone to lunch."

Nika looks at least a little bit apologetic, but doesn't say anything.

"I have a list, actually." she says, stepping into the room and leaving the door open for Katarina to follow. After searching through her things she pulls out a printed list of restaurants in Maldon and Chelmsford. "Any of these should be fine." she says and hands her a page with the nicer ones. "Is this with the Genoshan Preator?"

"That's one, but there is also a young girl named Jezabelle. An American, who asked to take me out to lunch," she nodded. "Part of...'trying everything' at university."

Nika lets out a surprised and partially-chocked-back laugh. "Part of what now with who?" she coughs out.

"It's just lunch, Nika. Surely you think I can handle that?"

"That's not... what? Right, the going out to lunch's what you're trying. Of course. Yeah, you'll do just fine as long as you don't overdo the etiquette."

"What do you mean, 'overdo the ettiquite'?"

"You know, asking for the right spoon for the fish or whatever, that kinda stuff."

"...I must see to the quality of food you're getting in the barracks if you think the best choice of utensil for fish is a spoon."

"Works for fishsticks." she shrugs. Her eating habits being judged by Katarina doesn't really bother her much. She's well aware they're not royal material.

"Besides. I have my cover story straight, so everything will be fine. You just have to do...whatever it is you do to make sure I'm not being targeted by a secret assassin, or something."

"Jezabelle you said, right. I'm on it."

"Don't scare the poor girl, OK? She seemed flustered enough when talking about your workout regime."

"Alright, fine. I'll play nice." she says, fighting back a smirk.

"Nice as in regular person nice. Not as in Nika-nice," Katarina teased.

"No interrogating. Got it."

"And it wouldn't kill you to smile!"
