Still feeling kind of bad about having let Will - no, her now-nameless friend - down, Nailah knocks on his dormroom.

"It's open," the boy called from inside.

He was sitting half-in the mixing vat Tosh had made, resting his arms on the sides as everything below his torso was gently tossed and kneaded.

"Heya, Nailah. What brings you 'round?"

"Eh," the boy said, waiving his hand. "No need to apologize. It didn't work out, and that falls on me, as the leader, to take the blame. I needed a better strategy, clearly."

"I don't really know yet," he sighed, craning his neck back to look at Nailah. "I'm shit with names, in general.

Went by Willow for a while, but that just brings up bad memories, so I'm binning that."

"Let's pass on the mutant code-name thing; I'm not trying to be the Dark Lord of Edginess or something over here.

I suppose it doesn't matter what we do for the other ones, but coming up with one name is probably easier than two, and as it's not like I have any IDs to change, it doesn't matter if it works as a 'real' name or not."

"Pff, sure, you could avoid naming yourself anything cool then and instead go with a boring ol' name like Dave or Hank."

"You should see this as an opportunity! Sure, Will's an alright name, but what about 'Max Powers' or 'Elasti-Man'?" she says, moving her hands in a sweeping semi-circle above her head.

"Claymo? I'll refer you back to the Simpsons references, and note that 'Claymo' could rhyme with 'Lame-o', and therefore should be ignored," he laughed.

"Clay might be a bit closer, but aimed at the wrong guy. If I had won, I might have suggested Clay for the other guy; that's all he basically is at the end of the day. I like to think I'm a little more impressive than all this," he said, gesturing down at the gently churning vat.

"Devious, more like.

She once tricked me into serving as a vessel for her soul; she knew she was going to die and made arrangements so that would only be a temporary setback.

She did this under the guise of teaching me magic, so, you know. Devious," he grinned.

I like to think I straightened her out a little bit in the end, but she's a wild one."

"Nah, I don't think he could hold a grudge if he tried. I mean, he won, right? What's he got to be mad about?

Now, he might be hesitant to do anything, but if you just walk in there all authoritative-like and go 'right, this is what you're doing now', he might protest a little tiny bit, but he'll go along with it. I mean, he's basically got a computer for a brain now, right? Just need to push the right buttons."
