"Wellll, I'ma gonna need it for the next..." she pretends checking her calendar with some obtuse hand-motions only Will would recognize as navigating an AR menu, "...sixteen years. That cool?" she chuckles.

"That was very irresponsible of you, Robin; you should have stayed with your mother," Will frowned.

"And here I thought I'd be getting an earful from the other one, not you..." Robin pouts.

"The other one is kind of the more... irresponsible one."

[Will Stanton]

"It's just dangerous over here, sweetie, and you're going to get bored with 16 years, that's all."

"Look, the impression I got from the mission I went on is that it's dangerous everywhere. There's no 'not dangerous' when it comes to the various versions of this place."

"Dangerous and boring, you say?" She smirks to Will.

"Those aren't mutually exclusive!" Will protested "There are plenty of exciting dangerous things, or boring safe things, but there are safe exciting things. Like a good book! And there are dangerous exciting things, too!"

"It's true, back home it's impossible to get hurt and you're never bored." Robin nods. "Anyway, crashing in an empty room's all nice for now, but I kinda dropped in without, like, any of my stuff, so I'ma gonna need to go shopping for some essentials."

"We could give one or both of your dads a headache by taking you shopping."

[Robin Stanton]

"Sure! Uh... how do you pay for stuff? My Engine got Phalanxed and even if it didn't it probably wouldn't work here anyway..."

"Debit cards and the like," Tereza says. "Vivienne serves at a restaurant in town. I bartend here on campus."

"Aye, not a lot of money to go around unless you want to ask your other dad."

"We'll scrape together what we need, don't worry," Will nodded. "Gotta get you registered and everything, too."

"Yeah, the headmistress is big on people being registered. Which reminds me, I need to have a discussion with her."

"Oh so Other Dad got all the money in the divorce?"

"...sort of? I don't know if he finally gave it back to Miriam."

Robin let's out a groan and throws her head back dramatically.

"It was bad enough I had to get a driver's license once. You're gonna make me do it again?"

"AND the inspection so all the paperwork is in order, young lady."

"Emission tests are for real cars." Robin pouts.

"That's definitely something worth trying to explain to any officer who pulls you over, or have you learned to obey speed limits in the past month?"

"Maybe!"

Tereza smirks, obviously recognizing that 'maybe' as a 'no'.

"I've a feeling we're going to be a bad influence on your daughter," Sam smirks.

"It wouldn't be the first time," Will sighed, smiling.
