Then, after an awkward pause she adds, "Is that... something you would want? A second date with Miss Sherlock, that is."

"It is not always a matter of what I would or would not want, Nika. You know that."

"I know, but I'm asking you anyway."

"I would like to...see Jez again. Anything more than that is...complicated."

"When you do, could tell her I'm sorry for being harsh on her?"

"Oh, Nika, what have you done this time?"

"My job...?" she tries, knowing that excuse isn't going to hold.

"I may have jumped to conclusions based on... contradictory information. Better to err on the side of your safety." she says, back straightening some with her hands behind her back.

"Contradictory information?"

Nika glances down at her feet before looking back up at Katarina.

"She's an American child of divorced parents who grew up in Genosha and goes to school in the United Kingdom. Her papertrail is... unusual."

"And I suppose you broke this to her as a concerned neighbor, and not as a highly trained military operative?"

"I... firmly voiced my concerns."

"Should I visit her in the infirmary, then?"

"Very funny. I didn't hurt her, just gave her a little scare."

"And likely scared her off from every coming back. Oh, Nika," Katarina sighed.

"I know, I know. You're job is to protect me."

"No, she actually stood up to me some."

"Did she, now? That's...unexpected."

"She stands for what she believes in. If she is a Genoshan or Latverian agent she'd be deceptively dangerous."

"The last thing we need is more trouble with Latveria. Genosha takes care of itself, mostly," Katarina frowned.

"Just... be careful. I feel reasonably safe about her, but... just be careful."

"That's what I have you for, Nika," Katarina smiled.
