Laura had retrieved one of the janitorial vacuums and was currently vacuuming the hallway where one of the roombas had decided to disgorge its contents all over the carpet. No sense letting anyone track this around after all.

"Oh my, what happened here?" Katarina said, coming up to the scene of the mess.

"I don't know. Looks like one of the robot cleaners malfunctioned while everyone was tiny," Laura says, finishing up the vacuuming. "Didn't seem good to leave it sitting around."

"Technically, I think that's why they have the robot vacuums," she says, "but obviously that's not working well right now and with all the other things recently, I thought it would be easier to take care of it myself than bother the staff."

No, there are people to do this sort of thing. You shouldn't have to worry about it; just file a support ticket and forget about it."

"And if they're busy cleaning up messes elsewhere? Nothing but a little time and effort on my part. Just because there's someone to clean it up, that doesn't mean I should leave it for them to do. Sure, I'll let someone know about the vacuum, but I can handle this just fine."

"No, I didn't break the vacuum. I spent my time trying to fly which doesn't work quite as well with these wings when they're small."
