[Social] Curiosity killed...

[Nailah Weaver]

"Yeah..." she squeaks out from behind her wings. "My landings are usually better than this."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Your landings are usually without a passenger whose hair was in your face half the way."

She offers Nailah a hand up.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not exactly impressive though." she says with a cringing smile as she takes the offered hand to get to her feet.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Well, I'm still impressed. That was super fun, really."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Okay. Good. Yes. It was! I mean I knew I did and I figured you would, but I didn't know if you were going to for sure cause you said no peeking, so I didn't, so I wasn't sure how it was gonna work out..." she rambles, still holding Janice's hand.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Not bad for working without a net," she says with a squeeze of Nailah's hand.

It's at that point that she decides the best way to get Nailah to stop rambling is to dart in and kiss her full on the lips.

[Nailah Weaver]

That startles Nailah into pausing. And after a brief moment of being frozen in surprise she remembers she's supposed to do something in this situation and only a little awkwardly returns the kiss.

"That was... nice." she blushes furiously.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Had to get you to stop thinking for a moment," she grins.

"Did it work?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Y-yeah, lil bit..." she smiles slightly before trying to regain some composure even though her tail is still swishing wildly behind her. "We... uhm... restaurant. We should probably... start heading that way, yeah?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Yeah, it's around the corner, here." She nods, leading Nailah on.

"I won't embarrass you in there."

"Too much."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'd be much more suave if you'd let me peek." she informs Janice as they're walking. She never let go of Janice's hand and it'd be weird to withdraw it now. Besides, it's kind of nice...

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Would you believe you're very charming even without the benefit of seeing the future?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I don't know... That sounds like a pretty outlandish story..." she jokes. Mostly.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Plus I just didn't want you getting headaches all night trying to guess what would happen."

She slips inside the restaurant, nodding to the hostess. "Table for two, please."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I do have to admit it's... exciting not to have a safety net."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"So how many skulls are we shooting for on the spiciness scale here?" Janice smirks to Nailah as they're seated, scooping up a menu.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well, I don't know about you, but I could go for a three or four." she smirks back.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"If we're starting a game of spice chicken, I'm totally in."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I'm not saying I'd win, but I would totally win."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"You're a lot more comfortable with competition, aren't you?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Competition's easy..." she says after bit of an awkward cause.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Well if that's what it takes to get you to relax, I guess I'm eating a lot of spicy stuff," she chuckles reassuringly.

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah just grins and waves down the waitress and orders the extra-spicy Chicken Pathia.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"So have you had this one before, or will this be a surprise for both of us?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I mean... I've had spicy Mexican chicken stuff before." she says but once again she finds that, unable to look ahead, it's much harder to appear as overly confident as she usually does and she does, in fact, have bit of a nervous pit of anticipation in her stomach.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"I may tease you a little if I beat you here, but it it's the effort that counts," she grins.

[Nailah Weaver]

"You're just trying to set me up for failure." she says, narrowing her eyes at Janice suspiciously.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"What, you think I'm gonna wiggle my fingers, and they drop a whole ladle of vindaloo in there?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I hadn't even thought of that! But yes, you totally could!" she laughs nervously.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Well, that's absurd," she deadpans.

"I mean, I don't have to wiggle my fingers to do that."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I see through your trickery." she nods. "Making me promise not to peek so you can catch me off-guard." she nods.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"You knew I was bad when you swept me off my feet," she finally breaks into a grin.

[Nailah Weaver]

"So devious..." Nailah says, blushing slightly and startling when the waiter manages to sneak up on her with their order.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Oh, look! Something to put in your mouth!" Janice says with faux-innocence as the food arrives.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh my god, Janice! Shut up!" Nailah says, ducking down in her seat and her wings shielding her slightly from the amused-looking waiter.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Is that... not the plan?"

"I'd guess curry is... unpleasant, elsewhere."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Eat some chicken already, gosh!" she laughs, recovering some of her composure as the waiter thankfully leaves.

"Well, who am I to refuse a request?"

She eats a piece, lingering a bit overlong in an exaggerated manner around the fork. There might be some ill-advised tongue involved here.

It would almost look sexy if Janice wasn't starting to sweat.

[Nailah Weaver]

'Hah, I see what you're doing but you only goofed yourself this time." she grins and chomps down on a forkful of chicken without letting it linger, quickly followed by a second and third portion. Which is it's own kind of mistake as she slowly comes to realize.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"I don't know what you're talking about," she says as she takes a drink of water.
