Ainsley's face twisted in a fashion it might if he laughed, but his mouth didn't open and he was silent both out loud and in Leo's mind. His shoulders shook heavily.

Ainsley shrugged, reaching out to pick up a sketch pad.

"Mostly students." He says, holding out his sketchbook for Leo to peruse. Ainsley's style of choice was semi-realism and he was good at it, but there was an obvious anime influence to his work.

Ainsley shook his head, smirking. The problem was he was trying to be casual, which made it very.... not.

"Tell me about Boston." He said, tapping his pencil against his pad.

"I dunno, it's home. I grew up there with my mom. It's a pretty good place to live I guess. It's... old. Not England old but it has more to it than most of America. My mom liked to experience the history of the place, always taking me to museums and stuff when I was a kid like we were friggin' tourists," he said, growing a little sad.

"Not the word I'd use but, sure, lovely. One of the best cities to live in. At least I think I read that somewhere. I didn't grow up in the best neighborhood, though not a slum or anything," he continued, moving on to describing his home turf in a mostly positive light.

He was getting pretty animated now and his accent was getting more pronounced. Though he wasn't yet pahking his cah in da cah pahk.

He immediately locked his positivity away. "After my mom died about four years ago, my aunt and uncle in London took me in. My dad left when I was five, so that was the only family I had."
