He smirked. "That's not much of a change. I was getting a bit heavy when I got to Lambeth."

"Well that probably benefited you on the streets. Like a bear for the winter." He joked.

"Maybe if I hadn't lost most of it by then," he chuckled weakly. "Funny thing is I'm in better shape but weigh more now than I ever did."

"Muscle weighs more than fat, ey?" Ainsley took to mimicking a body builder who was so swole his arms couldn't be tucked to his sides, bow-legging his feet across the room.

"The Blokes who walk like this must weigh a literal ton."

"And none of it brains," he grinned amusedly. Bed now clear, he set his bag down.

"Room in the closet I assume. 'Cause my clothes are huge."

Pack light and all that. Street tradition."

"I don't have much either. X-Corp is trying to get some of my old stuff from my aunt and uncle, but I'm not getting my hopes up. The cheap bastard probably sold most of it. My aunt's okay I guess, she just doesn't have the spine to stand up to him for much of anything."

"The one time he hit me, he did get what he deserved. I would've just punched him back but my power reacted automatically. Of course, that was why he kicked me out, so... not much of a victory."

"So what do you like to do for fun mate?"

"Play some vidya games, I'm wicked good at Call of Duty, watch the Sox, fiddle with that sculpture junk I mentioned. Always wanted to restore a classic cah too," he answered, Boston accent rising occasionally.

We should get a club going or something. Chill out, art, vibe..."

"Sounds cool. Fair warning though, I'm not so good at the whole 'chill out' part. I usually listen to heavy metal while I work."

You though. You could be a bloody wrecking ball."

He was quiet for a long moment. "I dunno... I've never thought of myself hero material. And now I... I might hurt someone. Even if I didn't... heroes don't look like me. I'd just scare anyone I'd try to help," he said, studying his inhuman hands.

"Did you know that weasely, snaggle tooth guy from Pulp Fiction who complains about tipping was a fire-fighter?

He won't be getting into any calendars anytime soon, but that doesn't mean the people who's lives he saved somehow didn't appreciate it. "

Leo had been far too busy thinking of himself as a monster to even consider the good he could use his altered form for. While it gave him some solace, he felt a little like that was accepting his condition. He just wasn't sure.

"I'd like that..." he smiled, "But I don't plan on staying like this any longer than I have to."

"Thanks. Sorry about the pity party."
