[Relationship] The Bitch is Back

[Samantha McManus]

"...that bad, eh?" She asks over her shoulder.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I wouldn't say bad. But you'll probably feel better if you primp and preen a bit, right?"

[Samantha McManus]

"Fine, fine," She chuckles, slipping into her bathrobe.

"But if you're not here when I get back, I'm hunting you down."

She scoops up her shower supplies and heads for the bathroom.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"And I know you can find me."

Something's wrong.

Yes, I know.

Then why are you...?

Because I don't know! Alright?

...Alright.

Before long Tereza catches muffled singing from the direction of the showers.

Because if nobody else is in there, why not?

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza raises an eyebrow, getting up and moving slowly out into the hallway and towards the bathroom to see if she can hear what Sam is singing.

Tereza manages to get a good listen right as Sam is putting her spin on a Halestorm song.

"Oh baby let me taste ya, shake ya, tie you up and break ya
'Cause I've been alone, left on my own for too long
Oh damn, too long, too long, too long, I say come on..."

Tereza raises an eyebrow and steps into the shower room. "Got everything you need?"

[Samantha McManus]

"Er... yes? Why, did I leave something back there?"

It smells like someone tried to bathe a dog in there.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Just... checking." Tereza says, poking her head into Sam's shower.

[Samantha McManus]

"Oh come on, I'm getting ready, here!" Sam glares as Tereza finds her in the midst of taming some rather libertine body hair.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Sorry! Sorry!" Tereza says, properly chastened and retreating quickly back to their room.

[Samantha McManus]

"Just give me a bloody minute!" She calls after.

"I will be back!"

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza dropped onto the bed, thumbing her phone back on and focusing on it with a considerable amount of attention.

Not too much later, Sam returns, her legs free of stubble as she walks by Tereza.

At this point she smells mostly of shampoo and body wash, and thus only minimally of wolf.

"So what was that all about?" She asks as she heads back to the dresser.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Nothing," Tereza says with the air of a dog that's been scolded, not even bothering to look at Sam.

[Samantha McManus]

"I'm not cross with you. If you'd wanted in I would've let you. You just looked... overdressed?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Look, I said it was nothing, okay?" Tereza gets up, grabbing her keys from the desk. "I'm going to go make sure the car will start."

[Samantha McManus]

"Okay, I'm dropping it," she sighs.

"I'll be out in a few."

[Tereza Rozanov]

The only response from Tereza is some sort of grunt as she disappears down the hallway.

[Samantha McManus]

After a long night, both at the club and upon their return, Sam is sprawled across their shared bed in exhaustion. Though she's no longer projecting the wild vision of the Morrigan she'd entranced the club with, her stature and build are more than a little reminiscent of it. Her ears still come to points, her tired murmurs escaping framed by fangs as still-wolfish eyes flutter. Any efforts she made to shave have been reversed and then some by the night's festivities, and more than a few shed ginger hairs on the bedspread speak to at least one of the forms she wore in granting Tereza's wolf's request.

Tereza's wolf is well and truly asleep. Tereza, on the other hand, is not. After a bit, she gets up, flexing her right hand, ice playing over the fingertips as she fishes in her desk and pulls out some vodka.

"That was certainly... a thing," Sam murmurs, her head lolling over towards Tereza.

"Hair of the dog that bit you, eh?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"No. That's all over the bed," she quips. "Besides I was drunk on something else last night." She takes the cap off the bottle and drinks straight from the bottle.

[Samantha McManus]

"I don't know quite what got into me but a lot of it felt... right?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Mmh," Tereza comments, mouth still on the bottle as she takes another swig. She bends down and begins picking up some of her clothing.

[Samantha McManus]

"Was it... not?" She sits up slowly, some of her less-human features retreating.

"I know I was mainlining something for awhile there... especially at the club."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"You were," Tereza says, setting the bottle aside and slipping into some of her clothes. "It's not that it wasn't... good," she says, picking through her words carefully.

[Samantha McManus]

"Just... pretty weird, aye?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"That's one way to describe it." She starts fishing in their closet.

[Samantha McManus]

"...did I do something wrong? Or is this more... between the two of you?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

She's quiet for a bit, hiding behind the door as she finishes getting dressed. There's a thunk on the door as she leans her head against it. "I... don't know," she answer honestly.

[Samantha McManus]

"Look, I know I'm... I'm a lot to deal with," she sighs.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"You are. But it's not just that, it's... I still don't know." There's a long period of no noise other than the soft thunk of her head against the closet door. "She needs you. She bathes in your presence."

[Samantha McManus]

"I thought if she was... you know, pleased. Rewarded."

"I thought it would make it easier for you to get along."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"She's asleep right now, so I can't say, other than that she's happy."

[Samantha McManus]

"And you?" She asks as she gets up and slips on her bathrobe.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I think the car was sounding rough on the way back last night, so I'm probably going to go work on it."

[Samantha McManus]

"Okay. That's... that's fair," she says as she lets out a long breath.

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Sorry," Tereza says, snatching up her keys and slipping out of the room quickly.
