Isolde makes her way into Wanda's room, heedless of whether Nailah's in there or not.

She lets out a frustrated sigh as she sits down.

"Something wrong?" Wanda says, looking over from where she's in the process of pulling off a sweater.

"Never have children," she grumbles.

"Not really in the cards at the moment," Wanda says, raising an eyebrow. "Problems with yours?" She finishes pulling the sweater off, revealing a curved black lined design from hand to shoulder on her right arm.

"She's difficult. As always."

"...what's that?" she says, eyes narrowing at Wanda's arm.

"Marker," she says, glancing at it. "Long story."

"I've got time," she says, sitting up and giving Wanda her full attention.

"I bumped into Miriam and she was having some... unusual difficulties. I had to do something to stabilize the situation," she says, reaching for another shirt. "Moment of inspiration and I drew this and it seemed to do... something when I used it in my working."

"What did you draw?" She asks, craning her head to get a better look.

She holds her arm out for Isolde to see. "I'm not sure. Felt sort of like vines." The design starts on her palm and loop up between her fingers and around to the back of her hand where it runs up her arm, twisting in on itself up to her shoulder. It wasn't particularly detailed and smelled like permanent marker.

"Vines... but not thorns?"

"Not thorns explicitly, no," Wanda says, sounding uncertain. "What's going on?"

"I had a dream some time back. You were in it."

"Based on how you're acting, I'm going to guess it was a bad dream."

"As it turns out, someone was trying to invade my dream. Seems to have been the same ones that tried to kill me with the booby trap awhile back."

"They posed as you in my dream, and they had thorny tattoos that they used in their workings. The same that were on the chest that exploded."

"Well, it wasn't me," she says, holding out both her arms. "Never had any tattoos."

"I mean, I know that. I knew by the end it definitely wasn't you."

"The... consultation on that is why you got invited to the Raven's Crest."

"Hmm," Wanda makes a thoughtful noise, "I take she was at least helpful or you wouldn't have agreed to the visit."

"The markings were druidic in nature, apparently. But the thorny ones were twisted to some dark purpose."

Wanda looks at the marks on her arm, "You don't think... I did something dark do you?"

"No, no," she sighs.

"That's why I was making certain there were no thorns."

Wanda rubs her hand absently, "Okay. Good. It was just a spout of inspiration and I was worried."

"It's certainly... interesting that you managed to come by that on your own."

"Are you sure it's not from the books I brought over?"

"Seemed to grant some stasis to whatever Miriam was doing, maybe? I'm not 100% sure what was going on. She seemed to be having some sort of episode."

"Stasis, or perhaps... stability," she muses.
