Zandra squinted here eyes. "I don't...see anything," she said, and then, faster than Sam's eye could follow, she had zipped over to the stairwell to check it out. "Yeah, no, I don't see a dang thing up here."

Sam can feel the lingering disgust along with a vague impression of worry that it's not washing off properly. Whether or not that's just because blood can be tenacious like that or some other reason is impossible to tell. She's not actively freaking out anymore, at least.

Still shaking slightly, now in part because her silk pyjamas are drenched (and now colored a splotchy pink) Miriam steps out of the showers and casts a nervous glance down the hallway towards her dorm-room door.
