[Nailah Weaver]

"Not true! Only if you answer them."

[Quinn Quartermain]

"Who are you going to believe, a magician, or some silly old logic?" Quinn laughed again, pushing the pants into his closed fist.

They didn't seem to be coming out the other side.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Logic clearly is taking a break right now." she chuckles.

[Quinn Quartermain]

"Well, you know what they say. Logic is a lot like lizards," Quinn said, tapping his hand three times, and then popping it open to reveal a small, confused newt inside.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Hah! Amazing! Hey lil buddie!" she says, sticking out a finger at the confused critter to give it a scritch.

[Quinn Quartermain]

The newt gave a faint "tic-tic-tic" as Nailah skritched it. It seemed a little confused, but otherwise alright, all things being equal.

"I'll have to be a little more astounding than this on stage, of course -- this is all very close-up magic."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Just make it way bigger! Can you do that?"

[Quinn Quartermain]

"Nah, not enough," he said, momentarily distracted and misunderstanding Nailah. "A big animal wouldn't turn enough heads around here; that describes too much of the population -- including yourself, for that matter."

[Nailah Weaver]

"No I mean, like, make this one bigger right now."

[Quinn Quartermain]

"...I mean, yes, but I probably shouldn't. That would make a mess down here, and we're trying to clean it up, remember?" Quinn smiled.

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah groans over dramatically. "Okay, yes, but I do still wanna see you make something grow!" she says as she does some perfunctory stuffing of laundry into machines.

[Quinn Quartermain]

"Well, I can't be responsible for any mega-newts destroying campus, but if we can think of something a little less destructive, perhaps I can help.

Why are you so interested in things getting big?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I dunno, I just think it's neat."

[Quinn Quartermain]

Quinn thought about that for a bit.

"Well, I suppose we can work that into the grand finale of the act, then. I think we can make that work, with a few minor adjustments."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Maybe not a newt though. Something everyone thinks is cute." Nailah nods.

[Quinn Quartermain]

"It has to be suitably amazing, though -- and easy enough to walk off at the end, without damaging the XUB. Ah well, I have a few ideas percolating," he mused.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Awesome. Just lemme know what you need me to do."

[Quinn Quartermain]

"Well, the big question is if you want me to walk you through the tricks step by step, or if you want to react more on the day. There's certainly benefits to both."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I can wing it, for sure." she says with a stupid grin on her face and her wings rustling slightly.

[Quinn Quartermain]

"And that's just the attitude I need. See, I knew you'd be perfect for this," Quinn said, flashing his smile again.
