[Social] In The Balance

[Wanda Johansson]

Wanda stands at one of the windows of the dorms, watching the goings on outside with her arms crossed. Her mouth drops into a frown as some thought flits across her mind before her face goes passive again.

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Coming to a head, isn't it?" Isolde asks from behind her.

[Wanda Johansson]

"The balance was upset. It was only a matter of time before that imbalance expressed itself," Wanda says, "Although I smell the Morrigan's influence here. Call it something on the wind."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"I can't say as I'm surprised."

[Wanda Johansson]

"I didn't say I was surprised. She's a lightning rod." She tilts her head, "I am glad the clouds are bursting though. I wonder how the new balance will be aligned."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Well she rarely leaves things tidier than she found them, does she?"

[Wanda Johansson]

"That's not a bad thing. Part of me wishes she wasn't making this mess in my garden, but I'll cope."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Gotten attached to it, then?"

[Wanda Johansson]

"A bit, perhaps. I had thought of leaving, but..." She glances at Isolde, "I don't think I can bring myself to."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"I suppose there's worse places. Trouble is, people already know you're here."

[Wanda Johansson]

"And?" Wanda raises an eyebrow.

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Not the usual way of things, is it?"

[Wanda Johansson]

"Maybe, but maybe this place needs us."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"You, perhaps." She concedes.

[Wanda Johansson]

"I said us and I meant us," she says, turning around and reaching out for Isolde's hand, "Where would I be without my Guardian?"

[Isolde Schwarz]

"I know what I offer you. I don't know what I offer them, eh?"

[Wanda Johansson]

"Age, experience, a knowledge of what goes bump in the dark that they are seriously lacking. Their only other option in that regard is decidedly mercenary."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"They don't want to listen to me and honestly I can't blame them."

[Wanda Johansson]

"I think they listen, but they do not want to show that they're listening."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"That sounds like you're trying to placate me," she smirks faintly.

[Wanda Johansson]

"Only a little," she smiles, "I think it's mostly true at least."

[Isolde Schwarz]

"Looks like things have gone sideways pretty quickly out there."

[Wanda Johansson]

Wanda turns back around, "Indeed. The Morrigan's conflict seems to have boiled over."
