[Relationship] Room 107 - Checking Up

[Laura Weston]

Laura stepped into the common area of 107, looking around for Haley or Haley's bedroom. Finally, she opted for just calling out, "Haley? You here?"

[Haley Crusek]

Haley had been mostly keeping to herself in her room since the incident that screwed with her powers. It was challenging trying to navigate life when you're afraid you're going to rend a hole in reality that might include a classmate or friend that got too close.

She hesitated before answering from behind her closed door, finally deciding that she was lonely and really could use a chat with her....girlfriend? Is that what she was?

"Unfortunately, yes," she deadpanned. "C'mon in and uh...sorry about the mess in advance."

Laura approached the door, opening it gently and slipping into the room. "Thought you might want a little bit of space, but I was worried about you."

[Haley Crusek]

"That makes two us,” she replied.

Haley didn't look great. She clearly hadn't been sleeping much, and it had probably been a day o two since her last shower.

“ I feel like you should probably sign a waiver before you come in here. You know. In case I erase you from existence. "

[Laura Weston]

"Nah, it's fine," she said, smiling at Haley. "Anything you need? Anything I can do?"

[Haley Crusek]

"I...I don't know. I felt like everything was shit...my powers, my relationships, my life in general. And then I bumped into you and...I dunno. I thought things were getting better."

She sighed and rolled over in her bed pulling the covers up to her chin and looking up at Laura. "Now I'm afraid that if you come too close to me I'm going to hurt you or completely erase you from existence."

"I'm a little more resilient than I look, but if it makes you feel better for me to keep my distance, I will," she says, trying to give an encouraging smile.

[Haley Crusek]

“I…don’t know. Maybe don’t touch me. Not that anyone should want to right now. I’m a disgusting mess and this comforter is probably the only thing holding the stink in,” Haley finally cracked a smile.

Her phone buzzed, and she glanced at it, her eyes widening as she read.

“They…might have something to fix us. I should get to the Point. Maybe….I go see what they have to say, and then I get cleaned up and we… eat at a reasonable distance from each other?”

"Sure," Laura says with a nod, "I'd like that. If there's anything I can do, let me know."
