"Makes no sense to me, but I suppose it doesn't have to."

Tereza shrugs, "I have too many other people who consider me their possession and it sucks. I can't and won't put up with it for myself and I won't do it to other people. It's uncomfortable being territorial unless it's to ward off an asshole."

"Who's talking about possessions. Well, maybe in the abstract... last night's memories are still a bit fuzzy..."

Miriam and Tereza can feel Sam's presence coming up the hallway toward the suite.

"Just trying to explain why it doesn't bother me. Now, if she dumped me and Viv for you, that would hurt, but we'd get over it eventually. But if she wants to start a relationship with you, as long as both of you are honest with us about it, then hell, have all the fuzzy nights you want."

"'It'd hurt, but we'd get over it?'" the voice from the mirror asked, confused.

Tereza looks a little confused herself at the question. "Yeah. I care about her and it would hurt if she stopped feeling the same way for any reason, but it's not like it would kill me or anything. I'm fairly certain Viv feels the same way."

"Huh. I just took you for more of a romantic, is all," the voice said, simply.

"Yeah, that's a bit pragmatic. But maybe that's how you have to be to make this kind of thing work."

Sam steps into the suite, and her eyes dart between who is present in the common room.

"Am I ah... interrupting something?"

"Just weapons-grade awkwardness, nothing critical," the voice from the mirror intoned.

"Just discussing your evening," Tereza adds.

"Which I certainly hope you enjoyed." Miriam says, trying to play it cool.

"Could've done with a little less having to go off and fight a giant monster after, aye?"

"As far as excuses go to not deal with things, it's unique and exciting."

"I'm not going to criticize how people chose to bask in the afterglow."

"That's where we're at, is it?" She quirks a ginger brow.

"I haven't the slightest 'where we're at', to be quite honest."

"This dorm room is fantastic for looking dramatic, for striking poses, and for getting fur on everything.

Communication, not our strong point."

"Where do you want us to be at, then?"

"Do we need a pinboard and some yarn?"

Tereza stands, collecting her homework, "I probably don't need to be here for the DTR."

"If it's all the same to you." Miriam says with a dismissive shrug.

“I’m not here to chase anyone out. If Miriam doesn’t want to talk about it, then I guess that’s still saying something.”

"Well, I've already said my piece about it. Anything further is really for you two to figure out," Tereza smiles as she heads into her room, "I won't be far."

Miriam's cool, distant facade actually slips a bit at that when Sam takes her snide comment as being aimed at the red-head rather than Tereza.

"Well..." Miriam awkwardly clears her throat. "Do we have anything to define here?"

"I asked where you want this to be at, not where it is right now, aye?"

"Do you want this to just be booze, dancing, and me voiding your warranty in bed? Because that's nothing to be ashamed about."

Miriam looks a bit disgruntled about being ask a direct question with little room except clearly and obviously avoiding it.

"I don't know what I want. Last night is where I'm comfortable. All of this..." she gestures around and towards the door to Tereza's room. "I don't know."

"Then that's all it has to be, aye?"

"Is that what you want, Sam?" the voice from the mirror asked again.

"What I don't want is to push her into anything she's uncomfortable with. Nobody should get hurt here, aye?"

"I've screwed up every relationship I've had, even the purely carnal fun ones. I'm not sure you could hurt me more than I hurt myself."

That was enough of that.

No longer content with just being a voice in the mirror, Will stepped out, and walked over to Miriam's side, placing herself between the vampire and the war goddess, and taking one of Miriam's hand in her left hand, waving at Sam with her right to come closer.

"Yeah, you're a fuckup," Will said, after a moment. "And you're going to screw things up again. Over and over. But then, so will I. And so will Sam. And so will Tereza, and Viv. I mean, probably. I don't know how fairies work."

"But that's part of being human. And part of being friends is that we help smooth over the fuckups, aye? And we don't let the first mistake be the last mistake."

"And if I wasn't being clear, I don't have any complaints about that night," she says as she steps closer.

"Obviously. I do like to think I know what I'm doing." she smirks, but it doesn't take a telepath to notice the relief settling in at having that nagging question answered. "But I'm... glad. The parts I do remember I enjoyed quite a bit."

"Well you did have me drink an absurd amount of expensive tequila while mindlinked to me. And then you drank a bit of it from a very ginger piece of cocktail-ware."

Will took her other free hand and grabbed one of Sam's free hands, tugging her a little bit closer to Miriam (and to her as well, shhh don't tell anyone)

"Nothing wrong with a little vicarious living. I highly recommend it, as a matter of fact."

"I do enjoy living vicariously. And if there's a better way to drink expensive tequila then I haven't found it yet."

"So we know how to show each other a good time. As for the rest? I get why you might not want to make that plunge. Not your monkeys, not your circus."

"Tereza made it abundantly clear that I'm not welcome in that circus." she says, making it sound worse than it was actually phrased. "And I don't particularly care to be added to that grouping either. I don't share."
