[Relationship] The Beast Returns Triumphant

[Leo Eskandari]

After the mission to Wonderland wrapped up, Leo went straight to Ainsley's dorm to tell him how it went. Head held a little higher than usual, he rapped on the door. God, how we wished they had the same dorm unit.

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley was in, of course. He let's Leo into his dorm.

"Sooooo.... how bad was it?"

[Leo Eskandari]

"Mission accomplished," he smiled, but he followed it up with a sigh, "Well, mostly. We freed everyone there but the 'bad guys' got away before we got there. They made the stakeout team."

"Not a resounding success for my first mission but what went wrong went wrong before the call even went out."

Lord knew he'd blame himself if he could but he couldn't, so yay.

[Ainsley Green]

"What happened?"

[Leo Eskandari]

"Robin and Vic made a judgment call and snuck in through a portal. They got spotted so the baddies bugged out before they could get word out."

His nonchalance about the issue revealed itself as false as he said, "Damnit, it's like Evo all over again. Mutants get victimized and the victimizers escape justice. Jesus Lee, one of them was an Evo subject! He didn't even have a chance to put himself back together before he's made someone else's plaything."

[Ainsley Green]

"You can't beat yourself up over this. You didn't make the call that lead to their escape.

I suspect most bad people always have a back up plan to scurry once things get too hot. "

[Leo Eskandari]

"I know I couldn't have done anythin to change that. It just pisses me off that we were too late to catch them."

"I'm proud of myself though, for actually bein useful. And keepin my shit together in an underground facility so much like Evo's. Just with nicer cages and no deathmatches between subjects."

[Ainsley Green]

"I'm proud of you too."

[Leo Eskandari]

"Have I told you I don't like small spaces? Vic shrinkin us and takin us through an air vent in his pocket scared me more than the horrible teleportin murderdogs they gave the run of the place."

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley didn't actually respond to the portion Leo might expect him to.

"Murder dogs?"

[Leo Eskandari]

"Really?" he smirked, "I give you tiny Leo and you ask about that?"

"Some mad scientist on par with Evo cooked up these ravenous dog-things with long necks and shark teeth. Hurt like a bitch when one bit me. Oh, and they friggin teleport."

[Ainsley Green]

"Well we can always make you tiny. New animals though, that's something rare.

Did we capture any of these things? I'd be interested to have a look."

[Leo Eskandari]

"Will brought back a pair of them. They're in holding sleeping off my venom. The third one we fought off ran scared after I got it. That's what it gets for biting me."

He seemed to derive no small amount of macho pleasure from making the monstrous attack dog more afraid of him.

[Ainsley Green]

"whenever it's safe, I'd like to have a chat with them.'

[Leo Eskandari]

"I think that can be arranged," he nodded.

with a small, smirking grin he asked, "But right now the question is; what are we goin to do to celebrate my glorious victory over the beasts of Wonderland?"

[Ainsley Green]

Ainsley smirked.

"You know, I'm not going to bang your senseless just because you did a good deed right?

I mean my skills are a real treat. I can't just hand them out every time you do something positive."

[Leo Eskandari]

"Well it doesn't have to be that," he said, "Can't blame a guy from tryin though."

[Ainsley Green]

"How about I treat you to a meal. Your choice."

[Leo Eskandari]

"Food does tame the savage beast," he grinned lovingly.
