"I can afford to be cheeky, because you're never going to get me a collar," she smirks back.

"Yeah, you're probably right..." she says and pushes herself off the couch. "It'd be way too much effort to walk all the way over here." As she's talking she slowly meanders over to the large mirror and pauses in front of it it, hold her elbow in one hand and tapping her chin with the other. "And I'm sure Will would take a lot of convincing and it couldn't possibly be as easy as reaching in here and pulling something out." she goes on and thrusts her hand into the mirror with a mental image of a leather-collar with feathery lace patterns worked into it.

"Oh, not even a knock."

The collar was nearly identical to the one Miriam was projecting, with the exception of two small inlaid emeralds, one on either side of the O-ring. Otherwise, it was bespoke and fit to order.

"See, you're always trying to project this tough image but when it comes down to it you're so polite. As if Will didn't practically beg to be gripped by the collar." she says, dangling the bespoke piece of 'clothing' from her finger. "Knock..." she smirks. "But if you want to be courteous maybe you could ask nicely for me to put this on you?"

"And here I thought this was punishment for me not being courteous."

"Yeah but I changed my mind because you always talk a big talk and I suspect actually asking to have a collar put on you might fry your brain a little. Case in point, you're already trying to dodge around it." she teases, swirling the collar around her finger.

"Well, if it means that much to you..." She hedges.

"It means that much to me that you swallow this embarrassment and actually ask for something you want, yes."

"Well I'm a big girl, aren't I? Hit me with it."

"Alright, come here then." Miriam can't help but smirk a little as she walks up to Sam. She couldn't help but notice that she had still kind of talked around it, but there's only so much she can needle before Sam would no doubt get annoyed with her. She walks behind Sam and waits for her to lift up her hair before placing the collar around her neck like one might a necklace. Putting the clasp together she lets Will close it up for a perfect fit.

"See? Was that so hard?" she whispers into Sam's ear.

The collar cinched up against Sam's throat -- not overly tight, but definitely enough to notice it was there. Quietly, in the background, there was a sort of telepathic *hum* of contentment -- some background white emotional noise that was easy enough to block out, but there to tap into if needs be.

Miriam can feel that Sam is tensed on the approach, almost like a child ready for a shot or ripping a bandage off. She does ultimately relax once it's on.

"...things are rarely just fashion between us, aren't they?"

"No, I'm sure anyone would agree, this is just a friendly gift between roommates." she laughs. "Nothing else going on here."
