"Why? You're not him."

[Samantha McManus]

"Will tends to default to 'accommodating' when things go down."

[Ryn]

"Hmm. Do you have to obey commands?"

[Will Stanton]

"Will tends to default to 'accommodating' when things go down."

"You're old enough to know what Taliesin thinks of the rules of hospitality." Will teased, with a wink

"Hmm. Do you have to obey commands?"

"'Have to? Oh, not at all. I just, you know. Like being helpful, that's all."

[Ryn]

"Interesting. And you know 'fashion'?"

[Miriam Bell]

"Debatable. But aside from that Will is fashion if you ask nicely."

[Will Stanton]

"I know fashion a little better than our resident tall, pale and bloodless over there," Will scoffed. "I just don't always share her sensibilities if she doesn't ask properly."

[Miriam Bell]

"I'm in full possession of my own blood, thank you very much." she huffs. "But yes, my fashion sense tends to be rather narrow. If you put her in dark colors, as short as she is, she's not exactly going to draw looks."

[Ryn]

Ryn nods at that simply because that, for once, makes sense to her. It takes her a moment to realize that this implies some kind of colorful outfit. She has not really thought through what dressing to impress Katarina might actually entail.

"...red might suit her, now that I think on it."

[Will Stanton]

"That depends on the goal, hrm?" Will said, eying Ryn up and down.

"Slow twirl, please."

[Miriam Bell]

"That works for striking and attention-grabbing. Burgundy top, high-waisted pants, add some heels and you'll look... well not tall but less short. Or it'll high-light your height. Still I think something narrow is probably best? Dress could always work, slinky or tight... The glasses kind of hem you in on at least some mysterious vibe rather than bombshell for sure. Suspenders could work but that's definitely something you have to be able to pull off or it'll look stupid. Actually scratch that, you'll look like a kid from the 60s dressing up in their dad's clothes." she shakes her head.

[Ryn]

Ryn looks hopelessly confused but she does do a twirl. Granted it looks more like she's pivoting to scan the room for an ambush but it's a full spin at least.

[Will Stanton]

"Does our mysterious 'pretty girl' have a style, or are we flying blind?" Will mused, crouching as they took Ryn in from different angles with a trained eye. They shrunk slightly, giving themselves a different perspective, as they mused.

[Ryn]

"Colors? But a little faded?" Ryn shrugs helplessly. "Kind of... loose?" she adds and tries to mime a top that hangs a bit more freely rather than super figure-hugging.

[Will Stanton]

"So, not Miriam's slinky dress idea then," Will nodded. "But...tight enough so you're not tripping over yourself, yes? If you came from doing that to Sam, you must be OK in a dust-up..." Will mused, holding their hands in front of them like a picture frame.

[Samantha McManus]

"She's basically Ghost Rider's little sister."

[Ryn]

"I am no flesh-riding spirit nor anybody's sister!" she says indignantly. "But I do need to be able to move and I did best the Morrigan." she proudly adds.

[Samantha McManus]

"No I mean like... think of a Dullahan that rides a motorcycle... and is on fire."

[Will Stanton]

"So, I'm hearing kevlar more than taffeta."

[Ryn]

Ryn blinks at Sam.

"This world is strange. But at least humans here don't try to look more intimidating with fake shoulders."

[Will Stanton]

"She missed the Liefeldian age, did she? Don't let Tony Stark hear, or he'll sulk for days about his shoulders," Will joked.

[Samantha McManus]

"Will's also sort of not a local, so sometimes he says weird shite that I'm sure is hilarious back home," she teases.

"She's from the leg warmers and big hair era, Will."

[Will Stanton]

"The '80s, huh? Well, I'm going to assume, for the moment, that the target of this little infatuation is from the same time." Will mused.

"No fake shoulders, you say? So, a nice double-breasted blazer is out, then. I still think we're talking bright colors, though -- eyepopping. Bold, geometric," they nodded.

What do we think about skirts? Fashionable, or too constricting if you need to kick someone in the face?"

[Ryn]

Kicking is important, but maybe something that makes her seem more... harmless is better in this case.

"Impeding my kicks is... fine. I do not wish to harm Katarina."

[Will Stanton]

Will nodded for a minute. "Well, you may be more activewear, anyway. That's very '80s," and then closed their eyes.

With a very-familiar to Ryn short of squishing and remolding, Will shrunk down into a reasonable facsimile of Ryn -- except not wearing glasses, and with normal, human eyes. They hadn't seen her actual eyes, after all.

She was wearing a maroon blouse and black, high-wasted tights. Over the top, she had on a denim jacket -- short waisted, still leaving plenty of room to move.

"Double denim is probably a bit too much for the 2020s," she said, in Ryn's own voice, as she did a slow turn around. "Although a color-blocked windbreaker might work, as well."

[Ryn]

Ryn blinks at the transformation but this one does not seem to be doing it to mock her.

"And this is... fashion? That people enjoy looking at?" she asks dubiously, though to be fair she feels that way about most styles. She picks up a corner of the jean jacket to lift it up and let it fall back down.

[Will Stanton]

"A modern take on classic fashion," 'Ryn' replied. "And it's all very personal, of course. We're flying a little blind here, but this is -- or at least, was, rather trendy. And it should keep flexibility, you know, in case you DO have to kick someone," Will demonstrated, raising her leg over her head.

[Samantha McManus]

"And she gets to see your legs."

[Miriam Bell]

"Not what I would go for to show some leg but alright. Though I feel like we can do better with 40 years of hindsight on, well, that." she gestures off-handedly at Wrynn.

"Something less stiff and coarse than Jeans for instance. Keep the general idea, turn it into a loose bolero jacket. Add at least a bit of a cut to the leggings to show off the wonders modern tailoring can do to your ass. And some buttons or a belt for the waist."

As Miriam made her tailoring demands, Will shifted before the trio's eyes -- the jacket smoothing out a smoother silk and becoming a starker, brighter blue, verging on teal. The leggings got a little sleeker; a bit more cut; a white skinny double-belt wrapping around her waist. Will continued turning slowly around, giving the three trained eyes (well, two trained eyes and one lost '80s reject) a look at the changes.

"Much better! What do you thin-gah!" Miriam turns towards Ryn who has silently approached Will and is standing right next to Miriam all of a sudden, making her jump. "Maybe you should add a necklace or some decorative silver-chains to make some noise as they move."

[Ryn]

"No." Ryn says flatly. "No noise. But this is... acceptable. The colors are not too bright." she nods at Will. And the belt would make a decent weapon in a pinch, but she doesn't say that part out loud.

[Will Stanton]

"Such high praise," Will deadpanned, sounding very much like Ryn for once. "But if you want to give it a shot..." she said, and then collapsed in upon herself, the full outfit, head to toe, falling into a crumpled heap on the floor.

[Ryn]

"Your Wyldclay is very odd. Is this a trick?" she asks, picking up the jacket to look at it. They didn't make any kind of agreement but this is a different world, who knows how Fae Pacts work here? It's bad enough she already owes one of them a favor.

"Will likes being useful. Sometimes that means being something rather than someone."

[Ryn]

It also means she won't be able to take the clothes with her when they go home, so if she wants Katarina to see her in them she'll have to wear them while they're here. No hemming or hawing about it. Not that she'd do that anyway. That would imply she's scared or intimidated by clothing and that's ridiculous.

She nods and scoops up the rest of the clothes and disappears into the bathroom for a moment. Before too long she emerges in the outfit, looking not quite uncomfortable but certainly out of her element, fiddling with the hems of the tops. "And this is attractive and will show I care about fashion?" she asks, lifting her arms slightly as she looks down at herself. The colors aren't exactly those warning of danger but they're not camouflage either so their only purpose must be... looking... good?

"Not sure the bare feet work but I guess the leggings kind of work with it." Miriam looks Ryn up and down with a critical eye.

"Don't suppose you've ever worn heels before?"

[Ryn]

"How would you wear heels? That sounds messy." She supposes one could string tendons together and wear them like a sash. Humans have done similar things, with animals and on occasion their own kind. The later tended to be people she enjoyed dismembering in turn.
