Emilie didn't respond at first, but behind a curtain of various shades of orange that Trev couldn't see through, she was smiling. Trevor Anderson....
She had paused to try to recall things about him. He was one of the nerd crowd, the table toppers, something Victor indulged in from time to time. He was one of the ones that tried to hide his nerdery from girls. He was from Chicago, always. Emilie liked Chicago. When she lived in Wisconsin, she'd make regular trips to Chicago on the Hartford train.
Being from Chicago, it practically promised this Trev would be a fan baseball... White Sox, now that she recalled. She was not a fan of any team. She preferred to play baseball instead of watch it. But she'd gone to a Sox game in the past with a Trev at his own insistence. An older Trev, one who had maintained contact with a Melchior through adulthood due to their relative proximity to each other.
Trevor was not a unique, but he was a repeat. How many repeats now? She tried to recall how many Trevs she had met in her life, and calculated five. Five times.
Congratulations Trevor Anderson. You are now a consistent.
Rolling her head onto her ear, Trev could partially view the friendly smile Emilie was giving him. Like she already knew him.
"Math licks goats bro."
