Emilie sent off a quick email to Victor from the library to get him to come by the communal kitchen which told him to join her for lunch, then went about working on something to eat.

It wasn't too long before Victor showed up, the boy looking a little sleep-deprived but otherwise his usual self. Really, what student looked like they got enough sleep?

"Hey Em. What's the special occasion?"

"No special occasion per say. I just needed to talk to you and I know the promise of food will lure a young Freud out even if the news I had to share was particularly bad. Which it isn't. Lucky you." Em had been talking to him with her back turned, and when she did turn around she was holding a plate with an exceptionally long sandwich cut in half, stacked with various meats and cheeses. She also snuck vegetables on there too because vitamins are good for you. She had made a much smaller sandwich for herself, and sent out a couple of black currant juice boxes for them to drink.

"Enjoy."

"No, you're just easily impressed. Don't start being finicky though, or I won't like you anymore." She didn't start eating yet, not feeling right about continuing without letting Victor know why he was here.

"Soooo, the headmistress knows now. You don't have to stress yourself about keeping my secret under your hat from the establishment, though I'd still like it if you didn't go blathering to everyone else.

Teenagers are assholes and I don't want to have to knock out a bitch going for an award or something."

Victor stopped chewing so that he could concentrate on listening, one cheek bulging out.

"Oh, okay." His voice was muffled by food, finishing his bite before saying anything more. "Well I mean it's not like anyone really asks, so it's easy to avoid the subject."

He started to open the sandwich in his search for the healthy stuff he was tasting.

"Leave it." She said in a tone that had warning to it, like a mother who was admonishing a kid trying to push brussells sprouts off their plate.

"Tomatoes and lettuce aren't going to kill you. Bad nutrition will." She said it without actually looking at him, already knowing what he was trying to do. She stabbed her juice box with the straw.

"Unfortunately it also means they're starting their experimental phase. "

"My situation always gets attention scientifically speaking. I'm really not too concerned unless they hand me over to West or something. He's the only one I've met so far that'd be willing to intentionally hurt me to see how I tick and also be at an institute or it's equivalent."

"That is kinda what I wanted to talk about
...

Right now it will probably just be thought experiments. Lots of Q & A and discussion. But eventually they will want to delve deeper. Run tests and things.

Normally I wouldn't ask this of a Freud so early, but I don't really want to go by myself...." As she spoke, she stared at the counter in front of her, her index finger playing with the end of her straw absentmindedly.

"If you want me to go with you I can start today, no problem. Getting ready to bust you out will take me a couple of weeks though, I'll need some supplies and to do a little research."

Victor was very flat in how he replied, as though he were talking about the weather.

"Bit young as well. " She quipped.

Emilie would spend the next twenty minutes eating a sandwich and throwing out costume ideas. She more played with her food than ate it, taking small bites or picking at it with her fingers.

A lot of her ideas were either science fiction related, or something ridiculous paired with a sexy version of a corresponding But equally ridiculous thing.

"Then why are Chippendale's shows so popular?" She asked.

Emilie used her highly polished nails wrapped up in a napkin to fish out several cookies from the package, and gently laid them on his plate. They appeared to be some kind of shortbread cookie with a heart design on the top, filled with a red jamlike substance.

Emilie smiled for a moment, debating something internally before speaking.

"Actually, these are Jammie Dodgers. They're Britain's version of a Linzer cookie, which I think are actually Austrian.

I almost promise you'll like them, but not enough to make them myself until I know for sure." She responded with a tinge of amusement. This might explain why the package of cookies was so small, meant as a single serving or perhaps to be shared between two people, but no more.

She was experimenting on him.

"It's a cookie, how bad can it be? I'd make fun of the name but back home we've got a peanut butter and oatmeal cookie called Pirates and no one knows why they're called that."

Victor took a bite and from all appearances rather enjoyed it, finishing it off by popping it into his mouth.

"Yhou can bahke?" He asked with some crumbs falling from his mouth and onto the table.
