It's a rare sight to see the headmistress in the dorms, but today she's there, walking down the hallway until she gets to room 106 and knocks on the door, a rhythmically precise series of five raps.

"That's not the proper pattern for 'shave and a haircut'. Try it again, but adagio con brio."

Ashlie opens the door and steps inside. If the occupants were being sassy then it was save to assume they were wearing pants.

"Well then. I suppose you are the Cam Beckett." she notes at the occupant who is clearly not Tosh.

"No, I'm just a Cam Beckett. We come in six-packs."

"I would hope not. It appears Muir had enough trouble corralling one of you. They were rather agitated when they noticed your absence." she says, her voice free of any judgement. Unusual maybe, after his time at Muir.

"They get agitated over the smallest things. Literally, in some cases. I did apologize, but I'm sure the bed will return to it's original size after a reasonable period of time."

"It's their stated goal is to teach control. Restraint, in some cases. I am surprised they were this frustrated by your premature departure. You seem to have found your accommodations just fine."

"'Just fine' does seem to be an appropriate qualifier, though I was hoping for the ocean view and a balcony. Four out of five stars on TripAdvisor.

You would be?" he asked, finally turning around to look at ASHLIE.

"I would be the Headmistress, Ashlie Minamida and I'm afraid all students have to share the same dormitories."

"It's OK, Ashlie, there's no need to be afraid. It's just a building.

You're the one Muir called, huh? Funny, I would have expected you to be taller."

"Based on what precisely? Regardless, I have some paperwork you need to fill out. I emailed it to your student email, which you should have access to as of... right now."

"Really? Paperwork? What sort of paperwork?" he said, dubiously.

"Just your usual college admission. And a couple legal things that let me sort out things such as shrunken furniture or similar results. I also have to advise you that experimenting in the dorm rooms is generally frowned upon." she says, though she doesn't seem like she has any interest in enforcing that anytime soon.

"Funny, I thought college was the perfect time for experimentation. That's what it says in all the brochures."

"Yeah, didn't have much parental supervision at Muir, so I guess I got the good brochures. You know, the ones with "go to Xaviers or stay locked up" written on them. The gold leaf was a nice touch."

"I have little influence on how Muir presents my offers. But I feel confident that you're going to find what we have to offer enticing enough once you've had a chance to take a look around. I have no desire to see your potential wasted."

"I have indeed. While they had a number of colorful things to say about your attitude, they were descriptive enough in their evaluation of your capabilities. You built devices that stretch the feasibility of Physics. The applications are literally endless."

"Well, physics has a habit of kicking back when you're not looking. I'm not sure I have any devices currently working as intended!

...That reminds me, you need to install stronger windows," he said, gesturing to the glass which had one of Tosh's posters re-located in front of a rather noticeable hole.

"Note to self, increase the maintenance budget. And the fact that they aren't working as intended yet is why I talk about potential and not accomplishments."

"No, but I am responsible for the well-being of the school and it's students. And no preserving them in chrono-stasis does not technically count as safe." she preempts the obvious response.
