[Byrna Cooper]

"Well.. yeah? It's violent either way.. but it's what I do."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Well, that's neat! Here's hoping you wont have to do that too much."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Best to be prepared!" She smiled, unpacking a bit more.

"How about you? I noticed you floating.. is that your main ability?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Not exactly. I'm a telepath, and a telekenetic. A pretty weird one."

[Byrna Cooper]

"i can relate to weird TK." Bear said, smiling.

"How do you express? Mindflames? I bet it's mindflames."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"No, no, nothing so dramatic.

It's...this. Just this."

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear looked a little confused again.

"So, it is the floating then? That's pretty neat, honestly!"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"No, no, no.

I'm not...not REALLY here. You're imagining me.

But that's OK; everyone else is imagining me at the same time."

[Byrna Cooper]

It took Bear a moment to think through it.

"Really? That's even cooler!"

Probably not unexpectedly, she reached out to touch Mira's arm.

It worked! Well, kind of.

"Yeah, you only THINK you're touching something right now; I'm tricking your brain into signalling that there's something there."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Wow.. I honestly can't tell!"

She sat back.

"For all I know, you are trying to trick me. But I trust you.. it must be hard, proving you exist philosophically."

A thought hit Bear.

"You DO exist, right?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Of course I exist! What kind of question is that?"

[Byrna Cooper]

"Sorry! I mean, do you exist as just something.. imaginary? Do you have a body? Sonething purely physical?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"I do; that's what's down in the other room. In the med center."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Ah, that makes good sense, then. I was wondering about that room."

She put some more two and two together.

"Is your body.. immobile? Can you use it? Or is your imaginary body your main deal now?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Yeah, it's not going anywhere. It's alive, and that's about it. It's hooked up to all kinds of nasty machinery to keep it that way."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Wow.. has it been that way for a while?" Bear asked, a little hesitantly.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Yeah, pretty much from the beginning. I'm not going to wake up."

[Byrna Cooper]

Without thinking, Bear went and hugged her new imaginary friend.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Oh! It's, uh, it's alright! It's been a long time, and it would probably be strange to be in a body anyway!" Mira said, surprised, tentatively returning the hug.

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear smiled.

"Okay. but if you ever feel the need for another hug, just ask. They're free."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"I'll keep that in mind," Mira smiled.

[Byrna Cooper]

"So, how do we divide the room, then? Do you have any physical stuff you'd like me to leave room for?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Well, leave half of the room for me! It can be the half by the window, if you'd like; I don't need to use the door.

Maybe a little less than half, because I don't sleep here."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Nah, you get the full half. We're equal here! I'll see if we can move your bed out, maybe see if we can find a couch to take up the space.."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Oooh, that might be nice."

[Byrna Cooper]

"We'll get settled in no time!"

Bear grinned, finishing the unpacking.
