Xaviers!

Sam approaches the Headmistress' office. She's not overly concerned by not sensing anyone inside, but she does knock.

"Come in." Ashlie's voice comes from inside, although it sounds a bit... tinnier than usual.

Stepping inside Sam would see the room is empty, the voice coming from the computer on Ashlie's desk.

"My apologies for not being present in the flesh, so to speak. I'm somewhat inconvenienced at the moment."

"Oh... oh right. I guess I thought you had... spares, aye?"

"You've probably heard about the person we had to bring into the infirmary."

"I have. She rather perplexed the staff as to how she managed to still be alive."

"Well, magic gives me a headache too."

"We've got a lead on who abducted her. Unfortunately the lead is... in Wales."

"And you want to take the Blackbird." Ashlie deduces.

Sam grits her teeth for a moment, then steadies her breathing.

"If there was any other way, we'd be more low-key. There's an individual out there who is more than willing to torture people, and has threatened to abduct more to do so. We've already seen that he can summon weird shite the likes of which we last saw during that faerie invasion."

"It's a stealth plane for a reason. Is everything alright?" It's hard to tell if Ashlie has a camera on Sam or if she just picked up on the hitch in her breathing. Possibly both?

"Just... just stress. A lot of things happening at once. Nothing for it though. We had to follow up on these leads anyway, but finding Viv's mum is more urgent now if she can help us against this man."

"I know you've had a rough time of it immediately following the Conduit Incident. Are you sure you're feeling up to taking point on this?"

"I was summoned to this. I can't avoid trouble, it finds me."

"I'm not going to abandon responsibility here."

"Feeling responsible and being up to the task are two different things. But you may take the Blackbird out to deal with this."

"This just isn't a situation that's going to let us entirely take our time. I'll be fine."

"Thank you, though."
