Call it a sabbatical

[Stan Bowen]

The door to the main foyer opened, and in walked an older man, grey hair and beard prominent. He set down his academic bag on a close bench, and took in the new surroundings.

“The Braddock estate seems bigger than I remember..”

[Roland Sackville]

"Bigger and more dangerous, one is sure.

Are you a teacher here?"

[Stan Bowen]

“Not at this campus, it seems. My name is Dr. Bowen.”

[Roland Sackville]

"Dr. Sackville. A pleasure.

I don't suppose your area of expertise is in...whatever this is, by any chance?"

[Stan Bowen]

“Well, whatever happened, I’m sure it’s beyond the expertise of any one expert. I might be able to contribute, if the cause is mutant related.”

[Roland Sackville]

"You might well be right.

I've got an electronic missive that indicates that the faculty is attempting to meet up somewhere, though through these twisted halls, it's been hard to find the right place entirely. Perhaps we will find it together."

[Stan Bowen]

Stan modded, picking up his bag.

“After you, Professor.”

[Roland Sackville]

"Of course," he said, pulling out a large sword from his scabbard. "Stay close, and we'll find someone."
