Roland and Stan came to a room just off the sides of the headmistress' office.

"This will do as well as anything else for now," Roland said, sheathing his sword. "Looks like we may be the first ones here."

Stan took out his flip Vodaphone, in a hail Mary check to see if he could get a signal.

“I was on my way to my office with my wife, Amanda, when the dimensional incident occurred.. and when it was over, I was in Malden. I have no idea where she is, hopefully she’s safe back in London.”

Coming into the room, Isolde narrows her eyes at the two there already.

"...one or both of you should give me a good reason not to rip your throats out."

"You wouldn't like the backwash," Roland said, doing that cool thing with his sword, you know, where you take it out of the sheathe just a little tiny bit to show the brand and that your serious.

"I think we should avoid killing people on sight for now," Professor Rede said as he entered the room. He moved like he was somebody well versed in murdering people, which was at odds with being being dressed more or less like Mr. Rogers.

"A lack of bloodshed would be preferable," says a woman who follows him in.

“Ah, we come in peace, fellow earthlings?”

Stan wasn’t much for shows of bravado any more, electing to simply raise his hands calmly.

"Those two I know," she says, thumbing to Melissa and Gideon.

"Where the hell did you two come from?"

"I don't suppose you'd believe Egypt, would you?"

“Me personally? London. I’m still working on the method of transportation.”

Gideon stared at Stan for a long time.

"You're supposed to be dead, Vanguard," Gideon said sounding bitter-sweet and suspicious all at once.

Stan brought his arms down to his sides, his expression hardening.

“Do I know you, friend?”

"Dr. Gideon Rede," Gideon said, "I wasnt fully myself at the time, but I ripped your heart out live on television. Right after killing most of Delta Flight."

Stan blanched a little at the image.

“Well, I hope you got it all out of your system, Doctor.”

"Depends on why you're back from the dead," Gideon said staring at Stan.

Melissa rests a hand on Gideon's shoulder. "I think it would be wise if *everyone* remained calm. We seem to have lost contact with the Point and we have students that may be in need of assistance."

“That seems the.. reasonable course of action. Lead on.”

His lingering gaze at Gideon was probably noticeable.

"The students come first, yes," Gideon said Melissa's gesture helping center him on the moment. "Have you tried locating students telepathically?"

"I have, but my range is not the best. And I'm picking up a lot of minds and pieces of minds and strange telepathic echoes. It's like wandering a maze."

Stan resumed searching for a signal on his flip phone.

“Perhaps we should take a more physical approach? Spread out and bring any students we find inside?”

"The scents are problematic, too. I've had a few trails just go cold out of nowhere."

"That leaves us with blindly groping in the dark then, eh?" Gideon said dryly.

“Is there a Cerebro unit on this campus?” Stan asked.

"Yes. In the Point, under the lighthouse."

“That might be the best option to locate and gather everyone together and out of harm.”
