Headmaster/Mistress/Robot's Office

[Narrator]

From the closed doors of the office of the headmas...headmis...

...the one in charge...

...came the smell of sizzling steak and the sound of soft classical music playing, as well as a couple voices talking back and forth.

[Ashlie Minamida]

With the immediate engineering emergency taken care of, Ashlie finally gets around to checking on her office. Or at least the place her office should be. Opening the door without a knock she steps inside.

[Victoria Valentine]

In her office, a man with whispy white hair, glowing yellow eyes and Stygian black skin was pressing close to a younger woman with complete snow-white skin and hair. They did not immediately notice ASHLIE's entrance.

"Like I said, Daddy, I've been a bad girl. I need to be punished," the woman said, glancing back at the man to smile naughtily.

[Domanic Taylor]

The man reached out to grab the woman's wrist, and held her hand right over the lip of a hot saucepan. Another half inch down, and her flesh would be in contact with the hot metal.

"I see that more and more."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Excuse me!?" the robot wearing an immaculate pants-suit says at the sight.

[Victoria Valentine]

The two started at the sound.

The girl narrowed her eyes, yanking her hand away from the hot surface.

"Is knocking not in vogue in whatever science fiction monstrosity of a universe you come from?" she said, eyes narrowing.

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Not when entering what is supposed to be my own office."

[Domanic Taylor]

"I'm afraid your circuits must be crossed.

I'm Dominic Taylor, headmaster of Xaviers University. This is my office."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Occupying my administrative building. And I can see you're making good use of it."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Just doing my part to keep morale up.

Artificial intelligence, or cyborg?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Please stop. Artificial intelligence."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Fascinating.

Well, your processor cycles can rest at ease; I have everything under control here."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"I'd say you're exerting a little too much control here, all things considered."

[Domanic Taylor]

"I'll thank you to keep your judgments to yourself.

Aurora, please remove the unfamiliar AI."

"Attempting to access system, sir."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"This would be a lot less messy if you allowed her to integrate into the system instead. I've set up a network for all of us to work together." she says as she mostly let's A.S.H.L.I.E. deal with the other AI trying to force it's way into their system. Sitting behind a dimensional beacon of (partially) her own design and rooted in a computer she's hard-coded to she's not overly concerned about being ousted from the system, barring any surprises.

"Unable to establish connection. Shall I contact Ms. Chronopolis?"

"Hold for now, but prepare to reach her if necessary.

Well, if you want to make yourself useful, AI, what are your primary functions?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"My 'primary functions' are that I am the Headmistress and act on my own accord."

"Lighthouse Custodian and Caretaker of the Mastermind Crystal Computer."

the two AI's respond at the same time.

[Domanic Taylor]

"A bit of a fork in your workings, is there?

To make things simpler, I'll pick one. Let's just assume I'm in charge, and you can take care of the Crystal Computer until everything is back to normal."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"There are two of us, working in tandem. She's tending to the Crystal Computer and I'm administrating, because it's what I do best. I'm not sure what your 'primary function' is, but I can't imagine it's needed right now." she says with a glance over at Victoria.

[Domanic Taylor]

Lumis ignored the barb.

"This is a school for mutants, and a mutant will be in charge of getting us through this crisis. Now, perhaps you were built by a mutant, but that is not the same thing."

[Ashlie Minamida]

"At least link your system to ours to make this easier on everybody. I don't need an office to do my job."

[Domanic Taylor]

"I'll get Aurora on that shortly.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I was a bit...busy?"

[Ashlie Minamida]

"Seriously?" she says and turns around, closing the door behind her without waiting for a response.

"I am going to have to move my office now..."
