Xaviers!

As the school year comes to a close, many students return home for the summer, make travel plans, find jobs. The University remains open to those who wish to stay, but most of the facilities operate at reduced capacity. The Point is slated to undergo what Ashlie calls 'routine maintenance' but in actuality is more of a repair job for the numerous areas that suffered explosive remodeling at some point or another. Too many for a high-tech facility, really. It remains open but might suffer outages from the head-mistress and the newly activated crystal computer remodeling the place to new specifications. In Maldon, an influx of tourists during the summer season means plenty of part-time jobs for remaining students wanting to earn some extra cash, but overall things are likely to be quiet.


We're fast-forwarding through bit of an accelerated downtime, giving people a chance to play out some vignettes of how characters spend their summer or summarizing it if it's not worth a full thread. This thread also serves as bit of a spot for people to organize things regarding who's around, what they might be looking to play out, etc. As well as just generally putting down what characters are doing or working on. I may also throw in some teasers about what the villains and other plot things might be moving towards once, conveniently, the new school year begins.

As usual, current threads can continue to play out before characters enter summer-break-mode and how long Summer Break will take in real-time is going to depend a little bit on how much on-screen stuff people want to do.



Ashlie
Staying at the school for the most part. Repairing and remodeling the Point and Campus alongside whatever administrative stuff goes into running a school. I dunno, paper-work and budgets? Might use her new-found freedom to take some brief trips around Europe.

Robin
Running around to try and get as many people as she can get to go back-packing or day-tripping around Europe with her.

Miriam
Sulking with nowhere to go.

Nika
Very much depends on how things play out in Symkaria.

Shari
Staying and getting increasingly restless about it.

Nailah
Says she's going home to Arizona to visit her parents but that doesn't really sound like the truth. Not going to be on campus. >_>

Katarina
Dependent on what happens in Symkiara.

Will
Will be leaving campus for the summer, in search of inner peace.

Natalie
As she obviously can't leave campus, Natalie's staying and helping with the restructuring and rebuilding. Part of that is the construction of the transport room and her private room off the crystal cave. The private room will likely be done by the end of the summer. The construction of the Citadel transportation module will likely take story-appropriately longer.

Tereza
Tereza has some on-camera stuff to do for the summer, but will be visiting Sam's family in Ireland at some point and, in general, spending as much time away from school as she can afford.

Wanda
Wanda's taking Isolde back to Sweden for some away time and probably some backpacking in Spain and Italy. There may be some on-camera there, but it won't be story significant, just personal/relationship development significant.

Laura
Laura will be staying at the school with occasional trips to London for shopping.

Quick addendum/reminder that this does not mean you can't make any new threads that precede or lead into summer break. It's more of a reminder that this is happening and to get your summer affairs/plans sorted and set up.

Basil:

Still debating what he wants to do about school at the beginning of the summer as the Lippincott situation made things murky for him.

Emilie:

Returns back to Canada with Vic and helps around the farm, something she's used to and is bog standard to her at this point.

Ainsley: Does whatever Leo is, because what the hell else he got to do.

Chisaki: AWOL.

Victor Freud
Returns home to Canada and spends the summer working on the family farm and training. Does not work at the Dairy Queen (this time).

Colette
Takes limited summer-school classes to maintain her education Visa and remains in England. Does not commit to more classes during the summer so that she has free time to travel with Basil on little holidays.

Planning the search for the yacht he lost his parents on, getting a job, and a lot of Danger Room training.

Working on his writing. May join Robin on her trip.

Aside from hunting down the last of his dad's stuff, just hanging out with his new boyfriend.

Writing songs, performing at the Rose & Crown, and otherwise bringing shame upon the family name.

Working on his concept car, visiting family, and doing assorted science stuff.

After over a decade and some recent dead ends, Will will be getting something of a revamp for the new semester. Same character, same history -- no retcons. Just some tweaks and alterations to hopefully better fit with what people be doin'.
