"Please tell me you're kidding. No legitimate doctor would approve that and X-Men shouldn't either." Diego said, looking deeply disturbed by the very idea. He was definitely Good Cop material.

Chisaki thought about what Diego said. She thought about how optimistic he was being towards the whole situation, and wondered exactly how familiar he really was with others methods. Particularly, Muir's.

It was obvious by the look on her face she was confused, and maybe even a little hurt. It was a bad day for everyone, her included. She'd spent God knows how long naked and exposed in front of three people. And now one of her few friends was treating her like everyone else did.

She spent so much time thinking about how to respond to him that a nurse interrupted her thoughts.

"You can come and see him now." She said, mostly addressing Colette who seemed the most concerned. "He's awake again, but a little loopy."

Colette breathed a heavy sigh of relief and rubbed her eyes with her palms before dragging her hands down her face; it had been a stressful day and it was finally starting to hit her. After a moment's pause she spoke.

"Zank you. I am certain zat... we will make due."

Basil would be found set upright in a hospital bed, fully visible. His head was tilted to the right lazily, watching a heart monitor ping. Every time it did, he mimicked the sound perfectly and in unison.

He wasn't looking at them currently enraptured by the equipment.

Diego didn't have time to process Chisaki's expression before the good news ended the conversation and they went to see Basil. He had a short attention span for someone with his career goal, and so soon forgot all about it.

"Go Colette, before he goes full boop machine," Diego urged.

It wouldn't be obvious at first, but Chisaki did not follow. Instead, she silently removed herself from the situation and the medical building.

Colette heeded Diego's advice and sat herself by Basil's bedside, gently reaching out to place her hand on his arm.

"Hey zere... champ." Yeah, she wasn't good at pet names in English.

Basil 'pinged once or twice more before he lolled his head in Colette's direction with a large smile towards the familiar voice.

His eyes immediately went to her chest and about bulged out of his head in-between the stupor.

"Bloody hell... who ordered the extra helping of strawberry creams?"

One might expect a louder ping, but Basil's heart rate didn't increase at all as he looked rather disgustedly at Colette's over-sized mammaries.

"I should be able to take him back to his room, zank you." Colette wasn't particularly cold, but there wasn't that warmth of bubbliness she usually displayed when speaking with people. Perhaps she was focused on Basil too much, or just too tired from the day's events.

The girl let out a big sigh through her nose and shook her head. "Well, you did, sort of." Despite having noticed herself numerous times she'd never gotten around to actually setting things right, her form shifting to let gravity take ahold of that extra mass as it redistributed. "Zere, is zat better?"

"Mmmmaybe, lemme see." He stated, reaching out to flip up her skirt playfully, clearly not aware enough of his surroundings to realize Diego was present too.

There were tight bandages over his hands making broader movements difficult, but his fingers were unbound at least.

Diego decided to let the lovebirds be and made a quiet exit before things got awkward. Noticing Chisaki already slipping out, he jogged to catch up.

"Two wheels would be a pair, yes?"

Chisaki had no idea what 'third wheel' meant exactly and was just talking because she was being talked to. Her statement might have been taken as flirtation if it sounded like she was in a better mood.

"No." She stated rather plainly in a unattached manner.

"I have spent the day... days maybe, naked in front of my peers in an illusion of some kind. One of my senpai was injured. And one of them either thinks I am crazy or a liar which I have yet to figure out.

It has not been a good time."

Had Basil's hands not been so injured and bandaged Colette probably would have slapped them away, though perhaps not terribly hard. Instead she patiently took his hand by the wrist and moved it away from her skirt.

"You can see later, when you are feeling better. For now you need your rest so zat you can heal. You were very brave today Baseel, zank you." She figured that he deserved to hear that from someone.

It became immediately obvious he was not comfortable with the compliment as he dramatically pressed himself in the bed to sigh and stare at the ceiling.

"I did what anyone would do right?" He said, reaching out to take a bottle of pills off the side table that the medical staff left for him and shaking them slowly and rhythmically so that the 'chaka chaka' sound was amusing to him. She could tell by his smirk.

"Do not worry, I am certain we can convince him to take a little walk." Colette got up tom help Basil to is feet, trusting the medical staff to take care of the equipment she didn't dare try to touch herself.

One actually did come rushing in in a bit of a panic, the same nurse as before. When she realized what had happened she rolled her eyes, turned off said equipment, and pulled paperwork from a side table holding it out to Basil.

"Instructions." She stated looking at Colette. "Right now he's on demerol but it will give out soon, the pills are for follow up pain.

Make sure he follows said instructions."

"Yes, something like that.

Being a human is something a person is born into. Like that Shari girl was born an alien, or the headmistress a robot. It is the animal classification of the vessel that the majority of beings on this planet have.

Being a person is commonly confused with being human thanks to humans being the only creatures on this planet capable of people-ing until recently, but it is not the same. A person is who we are inside, who we have made ourselves to be. It is something that is cultivated through time and transcends the nature of 'being human' in that lots of things that are not human are still people. I think this is why people like the headmistress tend to be overlooked as being people at all, because who they are has been written by someone else. In a sense, people like the headmistress are a lot like children. They are still learning who they are. This does not make them less people, but it does make them very confused about what sort of a person they really are. And it does them no favours that commonly, their creators put them into bodies that mimic adult humans.

By this logic, nudity is not simply the exposure of your genitals and to say that is all it is is a very human way of thinking as it assumes the person in question to have genitals or shame at exposure of them.

Nudity is the exposure of your vessel. It is your individuality being taken from you and to be made nothing more than a body. In our case, an animal who eats, sleeps, fucks, shits, and kills for survival."

Today was a landmark day. Diego was learning all kinds of things about Chisaki, including that she was capable of naughty words outside of the context of NWA recordings.

"Yes, something like that. Another way to put it is that beauty is a created element, not a natural one. The world is raw clay. The beauty is not there, only the potential for it. It is up to us to make it the best we can.

And the best place to start is yourself."

Colette took the instructions and the pills, glancing at them both before addressing the nurse. "Yes, of course. I am going to spend some time wiz him as well, to make sure zat he takes his pills and does not... wander off or somezing. Zank you." The girl offered her arm to Basil in case he was a bit wobbly.
