Will came back into the medical area and strode right over to Will's bed.

"Goob. Up and atom, c'mon, we've got work to do."

"Sam said I should stay here, and rest up...that I didn't have anything to prove."

"And if Sam said to jump off a cliff, would you do that?"

"I mean, yeah, probably."

"I'm sorry for being concerned," Sam says, quirking a brow as she leans in the doorway.

How long she'd been there was hard to say.

"Mmm. Concern's all well and good, but nothing gets fixed by sitting on your ass," Will shrugged, dismissing her concern. "C'mon, up and atom."

"How about I offer you backup that wasn't almost completely inert an hour ago."

"You concern is unwarranted. I know what he's capable of, better than anyone."

"It's still self-abuse whether he does it to himself or you do it to him."

"You're going out to find them, aren't you? I want in."

"And why would I bring you along?" Will asked, turning around. "What makes this mission so damn important for you?"

"They hurt Tereza, and I intend to pay them back."

"Mmm. So this week, we're the spirit of vengeance, are we? Convenient timing."

"What do you mean, convenient timing? I don't have to ask your permission."

"I mean when Tereza gets banged around, you go out on the warpath. When this one," he said, jerking his finger at the other Will, "and the Skrull get beaten down, you can't be bothered to even check things out. Good to know what it is that gets your panties in a twist."

"Don't..." Will said, quietly from the bed.

"You know he's been avoiding me for weeks now? I don't bloody find out anything."

"I mean, that's fair. If someone isn't willing to talk to you, that does make it harder to figure out what's going on. I mean, you're not a mindreader or anything," Will deadpanned.

"I mean he's bloody completely ghosted on me. Tried to pin him down and he just wouldn't have any of it."

"But I've mended fences with him there, so how about you tell me what's eating you?"

"Yes, because it's far beyond the powers of the Morrigan to locate someone located down a hallway.

What's eating me?. Guilt, maybe. You wouldn't think it, but between the two of us, the one getting his head fucked with and working at a vampire's beck and call sure as hell had a better time than the one supposedly safe here. He got released back here as a placebo, in order to make the X-Teams not chase after Miriam. He would have been better off with me, rather than with the glorious and oh-so-caring staff and classmates at Xavier's Passive University, that's what's eating me.

Now are you coming, or not?"

"I was going with you or without you."

"Then why were you hanging around the medical building?"

"Because I was going to bloody ask. But if you'd rather I just tell you what to do then you're more like him than you think."

"WHO were you going to ask. Him?" Will asked, pointing at the Will in the bed. "You take orders from him now?"

"Oh, because it's far beyond the powers of the Morrigan to find someone," she repeats back.

"Listen, if you want to come with me, fine. If you want to out on your own, also, fine. I'm not going to tell you what to do."

"Then let's go visit some pain on people who actually deserve it."

"That's a long list, but we can start with these bastards.

Oh, stop lying there and get up. Start getting into character," Will said, turning to the other Will. "Cowboy hat, tight pants, massive inferiority complex. Should be a cinch for you."

"Um...right," Will said, quickly glancing between Will and Sam to make sure everything was on the up-and-up and he was allowed to get out of bed. "Haley. OK, I can....I can do that," he said, as she slowly began to morph.

"Ah, so we're impersonating the ones they hurt?"

"You've gotta show up to the meetings.

They're trying to recruit some of us, specifically. Haley, uh, Tereza, Aiden and...that weird girl from Room 131, the one with the freaky bio powers.

If they want to recruit them, they can have them. As bait, specifically. When they come to get our Tofu Texan here, we beat their skulls in," Will explained. "Better him than the actual Haley, who's filled with all sorts of breakable things. Beat up our ace in the hole, and he'll either enjoy it or write a mopey song about it, depending."

"Well why limit it to just one? We've got it in us to sweeten the pot for them."

"Someone's got to stay out of the way to actually pull the surprise attack. It'll be moderately surprising when their targets attack, sure, but what if they have a telepath or something on their side and sniff it out? You need the second angle of assault to really put the pincers on them.

Then again, if you want to go all hairy, that's your perogative. Two and one or one and two; it's all the same to me."

"Fine, we'll do it that way."

"...and she's not that hairy. Usually."

"C'mon, you can't tell me you never," Will said, staring at Sam flatly.

"I've... thought about it."

"Anyway, let's go."

"'Thought about it' alone in bed, I bet," Will smirked. "Right. Off we go."
