Sam unloads from the van with Tereza, still carrying Will.

She leans against the doors to close them behind her, and continues on in to the infirmary while she lets Carlos ship the nasties on to the lighthouse.

Tereza limped along beside Sam, animating the ice on her bad leg to give her the support she needed. "<Hopefully he'll be okay,>" she said, glancing at Sam and Will.

"As long as they don't let Rob into his room at the infirmary again," she says as she makes her way in.

"Are you okay?"

Tereza had a weird mental dissonance going on as her thoughts were occurring in Russian and English, almost as if the English was trying to override the Russian. "<My leg is starting to hurt like hell, and I can't seem to get my words right,>" she said. "<I didn't know you spoke Russian.>"

"I don't. My powers are picking up the slack. It's kind of giving me a headache, but needs must, aye?"

"<I'm sorry,>" she said. "<Maybe once they get my leg fixed they can figure out what's wrong.>"

"At least you're admitting something's wrong."

That almost drew an angry side-glance at Sam and the Russian noise pushed itself back to the fore before the English beat it back down and she merely sighed, "<Needs must.>"

"Come on, Tereza. You just fought an arsepile of saw-toothed fairies. Nobody's doubting you're tough."

"<It's not about being tough. It's about not being broken. Especially not if my old friends are looking for me.>"

"Well one of them is a telepath, aye? You sure they're not doing this to you?"

"<If she is here, she wouldn't toy with me like this,>" Tereza said, though Sam got the impression that she wanted to believe that as opposed to being convinced of it.

"People change, right?" She asks as she starts carrying Will into a room as the nurses indicate.

"<That is the hope,>" Tereza said as one of the infirmary staff guided her towards another room. "<Take care of him.>"

Will was still whimpering a little bit, and not fully cognizant of her surroundings. SOMETHING had gone wrong when he was missing for three days, that was for sure.

"I'll do my best," she says, looking back to Tereza before laying Will down on the cot.

"God, what did they do to you?"

"I'm here, Will..."

Will's eyes jerkily tracked across the room to look at Sam, just briefly giving a sort of half-nod.

Her breathing calmed down just a little bit.

"We're going to take care of you, aye? You're safe, now."

She sits down near the cot.

They messed me up pretty bad

"I'll help however I can, Will."

"You can rest first, though."

Will gave the tiniest of nods, and tried to close her eyes, shivering some still.

Sam settles into the chair. She'll let the doctors check in if they need to and get out of the way as needed, but she'll be back in as soon as they let her.

The doctors do come in, but mostly throw up their hands. Will's organs aren't even in the right place, and she didn't record a steady temperature or heartbeat or anything. Damn thing is making a mockery of medicine!

Instead, they try to make her comfortable and tell her to get some sleep.

Will seemed hesitant, and tossed and turned more.

After the doctors are done fussing Will, Sam comes back in and resumes her seat. She watches Will with some worry.

Will certainly didn't look right, tossing and turning in her sleep, mumbling things under her breath.

Sam hesitates, then leans in to listen to what Will is mumbling.

Only some of it was comprehensible--something about slicing and dicing and cutting and smashing.

Sam winces at that, and after a bit of internal debate decides to try to radiate calm and safety via her telepathy.

For the moment, it seemed to be working, at least, though WIll was still tossing and turning some. At least it was less than before.
