The proper version of Tereza just bit her lip and nodded. The construct looked vaguely amused.

Gideon looked into the eyes of the construct and for a moment for the construct alone he dropped the 'glamor' he hid his avatar behind. The construct would see him for what he really was. It saw him in his monstrous armored glory, a blood stained avatar of violence. It saw the mountain of skulls that it had descended from. Then the image was gone replaced by the calm exterior of Professor Rede.

"I know it seems like little comfort," Gideon said to Tereza as he created telepathic shackles on the wrists and ankles of the construct. Chains formed to anchor it to the ground a hopefully longer lasting containment for the construct.

As the construct itself was chained, the proper Tereza seemed to get a little bolder and moved more out of the shadow of the throne.

"Feeling a bit more comfortable now, eh?" Gideon asked as the proper Tereza came out from the shadows.

"A little," she said quietly as if she was afraid of waking something up. "More... in control."

"That's a good first step. Are you afraid that she'll break free or of something else?" Gideon asked.

She touched the chains binding the construct down, "No, she won't get loose. But there are things here, they visit sometimes. They're... scary."

"What kinds of things?" Gideon asked.

"Nightmares, past stuff. Sometimes she even called them here," she said, gesturing at the construct.

"She wont be calling for things for a while," Gideon said, "Who were they?"

"Ah, never mind then," Gideon said, "Something to note for a school counselor though."

"I suppose. It's just always so... scary." She smiled at him and abruptly gave his avatar a hug, "Thank you."

Gideon was a little surprised and awkwardly patted Tereza on the back.

"Ah, you're welcome, eh...There will be many people to help you with that one who appears to be waiting in the room with you," Gideon said, "I'm going to leave you here until our next session."

"I'll make sure your friend will be aware of some signs she can watch for," Gideon said, "But the chains contain some countermeasures if she tries to struggle overly much, eh."

Gideon's form begins to fade as he disconnects from Tereza's mindscape. He gives Tereza's proper form an awkward smile before returning completely to the physical world.

Tereza's physical body opened her eyes, "I know it's not okay, but is everything better?"

"I removed the auditory triggers for your conditioning, but a telepath could still access them," Gideon said, "And I sealed the construct as well as possible given the circumstances, so yes you are much improved."

Gideon paused for a moment.

"I'm going to approve your release from the hospital. I am going to strongly recommend that you attend sessions with me so that I can fully dismantle the mental conditioning and you can learn some mental shielding techniques."

"Stay on campus for the time being and stay with people who know you well whenever possible," Gideon said, "If they notice you acting strangely or if you see the people who captured you please come to my office or call me immediately. Otherwise we can work on techniques for impeding telepaths during our first session."

Gideon held out a card for Tereza to take and then another one to Vivienne.

With that Gideon took his leave.

"Finally. I am appreciative for his aid, but he lingered far too long." She reached took Tareza's face in her hands and kissed her. When she finally released her, Tereza would be close enough to see that Vivienne's human appearance hadn't really returned, she actually wearing what looked like a thin waving layer of water about and inch from her skin. It rippled as Tereza sat back and saw human Vivienne again.

That was a lot for Tereza to process in short order. She put her fingers on her lips for a moment before finally shaking her head and blinking. "Are you okay?"

"It was necessary." She took Tereza's hand.

"I had to be able to stop you at all cost, permanently if all else failed. I had to be stronger. I knew you would have been hurt if you harmed another human. I could not allow that. I meant what I said, I fear this would have been permanent had Will not been able to render you unconscious and I had acted." She lightly touched her own cheek, causing odd ripples.

"Do not give me reason to consider having to kill you as the "reasonable" course of action again." She actually smiled and adjusted the rose in Tereza's hair.

"I'll do my best," she said, squeezing Vivienne's hand. She seemed to think for a moment, "Get rid of the glamour. You don't have to hide yourself around me."

"Are you certain? I do not wish to cause you further disturbance. The last time you saw me like this you were not yourself." She moved her hand across her face and down her neck, similarly to someone removing makeup. The image melted and moved like water, in fact that was what it was once removed. Hovering on her hand was a familiar globe of clear slowly, ever flowing water, which she used to gently water the exposed, cut stems of the roses she'd brought.

"It's something I'll have to accept eventually and no matter what you look like, it's still you. And I don't want you to have to hide yourself around me. We've had enough of that, I think."
