Sam has been in and out of treatment, x-rays, and some minor surgery since she got back. She's presently stable enough, and resting in one of the infirmary beds with her arm in a sling to keep weight off her shoulder.

There was a discussion out in the hallway and then after some warnings that were summarily ignored, Tereza bounded in. "Sam!"

"...hey," Sam says with a weary smile.

"No matter what they told you, I'm alright."

"No you're not. You're injured," she said, flipping to serious like someone had thrown a switch. "Who hurt you and where are they?"

"And Emilie kind of went berserk on her, I think."

"Good. I wouldn't want anyone thinking they could get away with it," she said, leaning over to give Sam a hug on her non-injured shoulder.

"It was a weird, kind of awful place. There were people there that were sort of like people from here, but... different?"

"And I got two naval ships shot out from under me. So there's that."

"That's certainly an accomplishment," Tereza says with a smirk. "All I did was get into a fight in town."

"It's not a competition," she chuckles and winces.

"...you seem to have come out of it alright, aye?"

"Police started coming, so we split before it got too serious. Hurt my arm a bit, but it wasn't too serious and they healed it right up," she says, hopping up to sit with Sam.

"This was... a spear, I think? Maybe. Things got a little crazy, and I didn't get the worst of the fight."

She made a thoughtful noise, looking at her own arm, which showed no signs of having been injured, "Arms do seem to be a thing with me. Did I survive?"

Before Sam has a chance to answer there's a knock on the door and ~~Conduit~~ a girl who looks exactly like the insane technopath walks through the door. She's holding a tablet of some sort as she walks up to Sam and Tereza.

"Hi! Hope I'm not interrupting?" she asks in the same damn voice that has taunted Sam at various points throughout her ordeal.

Sam's eyes widen.

"You... How did you get in here?"

Both Tereza and Heather can vaguely sense the impression of a flock of birds suddenly springing to attention.

Heather instinctively takes a step back, although she's not entirely sure why. Sam just suddenly seems way scary.

"I... uh... the door?" she says awkwardly, half-turning around to look at the door she came in through.

Tereza seems to respond to Sam's change in mood, ice claws sprouting on her fingertips with the ice running back down her forearms. She hops off the bed and puts herself between Sam and Heather. "What is it, Sam?" Her lip unconsciously twitches in an attempt at the expression of a snarl.

"What conduit? I'm Heather... Is everything okay? Should I call someone?" the girl nervously mumbles as she backs towards the door.

Tereza takes an unconscious step forward as Heather steps back. "So she's okay?"

"M-maybe I'll come back l-later." Heather says, fumbling for the door-handle without taking her eyes off of the advancing Tereza and her ice-claws.

Tereza's muscles tense as Heather begins fumbling with the door, but just as it looks like she's about to stop Heather... or something... Sam's words make her take a couple of steps back and relax. "If you say so."

"Uhm, so, I'm just gonna leave this here for you to read, okay? It's f-for an a-ac-accelerated healing treatment, okay? Okay."

She lifts up the tablet and whispers to it, her eyes glowing faintly as she does. "Just show her all the relevant stuff. I'll come pick you back up later, yes?" She awkwardly places the tablet on the floor before making a break for the door.

Sam shivers a bit as she sees Heather talking to the tablet.

"...at least she doesn't rhyme," she mumbles.

For a moment, it looks like Tereza is still going to chase her, but she takes a few steps and scoops up the tablet. She offers it to Sam, "Here you go."

Tereza hops back up next to Sam and rests her head on Sam's good shoulder. "Must have been rough over there."

On the tablet is a bunch of information on an available (if limited) treatment of a blood transfusion from a mutant donor that has temporary regenerative effects. It does note the possibility for adverse reactions or lower effectiveness in shapeshifters, but overall it mostly seems to be a formality and some medical consent forms, which begs the question why a technopath of all people is handing it out.

"Still kind of... shellshocked, I guess?"

"How about you? I hope that fight in town didn't ruin a date or anything."

Tereza frowns and Sam can sense the change in her thoughts, "No dates to ruin." She picks at the ice on her hands, "She had a 'quest' and had to leave... it... that discussion didn't go well."
