Sept 3rd - Technical Difficulties

"Sam!" Rob says. "Oh man, thank god you're alright. I was worried."

The forest is bright and cheerful now. There are even birds singing! There is a strange moment where Sam gets the feeling that something is watching her, but the moment quickly passes as a siren begins to sound.

"You hear that? The lockdown is ending," Rob says.

"I'm sure," Rob says. He waves to Sam as she heads away.

It doesn't take long before she can't see him or the house at all.

The path was clear and she'd meet nothing in the way of resistance on her way back to where the vault door was. As she got closer, Sam would see that the wall was gone and the fog was lifted.

It seems like everything went very well! There would probably be no negative consequences as a result of any of this.

Then she goes to make her way out.

Ashlie had been standing there, waiting and patiently watching the entire time. When the two show signs of waking up she looks incredibly relieved.

"So it seems. Excellent work, Miss McManus."

"One moment..." she says and pulls out her smartphone. After a couple seconds of searching for an image of Dr. Nicks she holds it up for Rob and Sam to see.
