Cam was admitted to the med center with a rather severe case of radiation poisoning -- as if, you know, he had been standing next to a reactor when it exploded, or rather, unexploded.

Fortunately, it wasn't a fatal case, and the advanced med tech at the Point would eventually have him right as rain, after a rather lengthy decontamination stay. He was in a sealed-off room at the moment, because, y'know.

A bit after the initial hectic of all the injured people being taken care of dies down Shari makes her way to the quarantined room and puts her head right on the window and waving at Cam.

Cam saw Shari through the window, and awkwardly waved back, pressing a button on the desk near him.

**Everything alright out there?** his voice came through the intercom.

Shari looks around till she finds the corresponding thing to talk into on her side.

**All things considered? Yeah, probably. Brought quite a few people back from the dead, I hear.** she smirks at him.

"Technically, we restored a quantum state in which they never were dead to begin with," he said, awkwardly.

"Either way that was pretty awesome. Four thumbs up." she grins and lifts four hands into view of the window.

"It was...just a science experiment. Nothing more..."

"Fine, thumbs up for a great success of science then." she says before her tone turns a little more awkward. "Hey, uhm... can I ask you a question?"

"Um. Probably? What is it?"

"I've changed shapes a bunch of times and it's not like I was trying to hide, so I'm not too surprised you recognized me, but you didn't even seem to notice..."

Cam sort of shrugged. "Who else would come into my room?"

"Well... I hear Sharkboy has a girlfriend. But nevermind that. You just... don't seem to care. In a good way. I mean even now..."

"I'm...I'm sorry, am I not reacting properly? Am I supposed to be more...upset?"

"What? No, I don't want you to be upset. I just think it's cool that you aren't."

"I dunno, what is there to be upset about? You change your face. I mean, OK. Whatever floats your boat, I guess? I'm not sure why it should bother me."

Shari chuckles. "Nevermind. Too hard to explain. How long you gotta stay in there?"

"The half-life of U235 is 703.8 million years, but I'm assured I'll be in here for only a fraction of that time. I apparently was not affected by the explosion; an explosion in reverse is apparently not a particularly dangerous thing."

"Well, if you get bored I can try to smuggle stuff in for ya."

"...Like what?"

"I dunno. Books, toaster oven to take apart, crullers?"

"I'm not particularly sure to what end taking apart a toaster oven would help at this point in time. The tech here for removing radiation is about as advanced as I could whip up, and that is, perhaps understandably, a pressing concern for me at the moment."

"But aren't you bored in there?"

"Extraordinarily."

"Well, anything I could get you that'd help with that then?"

"Unlikely. I'll just have to wait until they give me the all-clear.

Anything I started working on in here would likely be radioactive by the end, anyway."

"Unless you build something that soaks up radiation faster than what they're doing."

"I'm fairly certain they won't want me making a device that can store radiation."

"I mean... that's probably a good point. I'm just surprised you're letting that stop you."

"Never mess with the people who have you in their power. A very important rule to remember."

"Yeah... you're probably right..."

"Once I've slipped free, though, I'll continue work. Don't worry."
