[Aiden Mitchell]

Aiden returned Will's wave.

"It seems they are different individuals with their own wants and desires," Aiden said, "But perhaps I'm missing something, psychology was never my forte."

"I'd wager given enough time they'd each develop a bit of what they lack, but I'd rather have my friend back, aye?"

[Aiden Mitchell]

"Indeed," Aiden said, "But would you kill this one to bring your friend back?"

[Samantha McManus]

"That'd be why I haven't done that to them. I probably could, considering."

[Aiden Mitchell]

"Your abilities perhaps," Aiden said, "But for some reason I doubt you could. You don't seem like the type person, war god or not."

[Samantha McManus]

"There's could and there's would, aye?"

[Aiden Mitchell]

"What makes you so certain you could beat them?" Aiden asked.

[Samantha McManus]

"It was another telepath that split them apart. Both her and I have been in his mind before. He doesn't have much in the way of defenses."

[Aiden Mitchell]

"An unfortunate weakness," Aiden said, "I can see why you'd be tempted to try to 'fix' your friend. Did you find the telepath that did it to them?"

"...also a friend. Sometimes. Complicated, like bloody everything else."

[Aiden Mitchell]

"So there isn't anything at this school that is not complicated?" Aiden asked.

[Samantha McManus]

"We're mutants.When has any mutant ever done something the easy way?"

[Aiden Mitchell]

"One can keep hoping," Aiden shrugged. "Perhaps best that I didn't hold my breath though."

[Samantha McManus]

"Unless that's part of your power, but then you're just showing off," she smirks.

[Aiden Mitchell]

"It's not enough that I'm indestructible, fast, strong and incredibly handsome?" Aiden smirked.

"And humble, aye?"

[Aiden Mitchell]

"If I put my mind to it I'm sure I could be the most humble," Aiden said, "Doesn't seem like a terrible lot of fun though."

"I'm a recovering Catholic, so some degree of tooting my own horn isn't second nature."

"Ah, so instead everything is your fault," Aiden said, "Certainly a difficult position to be in."

"I'm working on it. As much trouble as seems to find me, I could probably afford to be... glorious, more often."
