"Yes, you are. All the more reason for me not to literally leech off of you, as much as I would like to."

"Who said anything about leeching? I didn't say anything about leeching.

Well, I guess sucking blood is a bit like leeching," she shrugged, tossing the dirty towel into the laundry bin, and grabbing a new one to wrap around herself.

"Is that gonna come out in the wash?" she asks, glancing at the tossed towel.

"Hrm?

Oh, yeah, he'll be fine. Believe me, he's always looking for an excuse to take a ride in the laundry machine. With any luck, he'll be folded and delivered back to one of the various rooms he belongs in -- the Wolves, Robin's, mine, yours...who knows? A fun, surprise present for someone," the girl smirked.

"Yet I can't help but notice that you offered yourself up to me, not him..."

"Yeah, you don't want low-quality shit, right?"

"It's pride, not pity..." she seems to realize. "That's strangely reassuring. Thank you."

"Yes, well, my ego is probably the second or third biggest part of me, so, you know."

"And you value my taste." she says, trying to smile softly, though it ends up a bit wistfully.

"What can I say? I'm a good guy. You haven't met much like me before."

"Despite my best efforts to ruin it. You truly are resilient."

The girl waved her hand dismissively. "Eh, you're gonna fuck up. Everyone 'round here is fuckups; if I held everyone to high standards, none of y'all would pass."

"I can't even argue with that." she says with a short laugh. "Doesn't make me feel any less pathetic, but it does help."
