"And hey, I got the 'scares criminals' thing in the friggin' bag," he grinned.

"Work with what you got. Smart." she chuckles.

He turned up the speed on his treadmill and began getting a good fast walk going. It was maxed out and part of him was disappointed he couldn't go faster.

"Done anything cool out there heroing?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"No saving the world stuff, but I did prevent a lunatic from blowing up Lyon. Or parts of it anyway."

[Leo Eskandari]

"No foolin'?" he asked, impressed, "That's wicked. Yer a regular big damn hero then."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Eh..." she says with fake modesty as she waves it off. "All in a day's work and all that, am I right?" she ends with bit of a smirk to show she's kidding. Mostly.

[Leo Eskandari]

"So what's your codename thingy anyway? The obvious one?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"I mean, how could I not go with Sphinx?"

[Leo Eskandari]

"It definitely fits."

"The people who turned me into this called me Manticore. I hate to keep it, but it's accurate," he said, raising his tail and briefly extending his stinger to show why the name fit.

"Wish it didn't sound so evil though."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Old-timey monsters are cool. If you don't like it you could always go with something else. Like Chimera!"

[Leo Eskandari]

"Chimaera is a good possibility. But I really only don't like that I didn't pick it, yanno?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Totally. Feels like letting some butt-face have control over your life in some way."

[Leo Eskandari]

"Exactly! But as long as I'm tryin' to own what they turned me into, maybe takin' the name for myself is a good thing. Ya think?"

"I mean, that sounds like it makes sense too. You gotta do what feels right, yeah?"

"Hell, I don't friggin' know. I'm still figurin' all this out."
