[Tereza Rozanov]

"Some things forced our hand," says the voice behind her.

"The pack is in danger. It must be protected," the voice in front of her concurs.

[Samantha McManus]

"It's my pack, too."

"So if you're getting serious, so should I."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"For now, we watch..."

"And prepare..."

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye. Viv needs a pack to come back to when the time comes."

"So you and I? We'll do what we have to."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Always have."

"Now is no different."

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye, you're right. Got caught in so many other things I didn't keep my eyes on the prize, there."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"We are quite the prize," the voice behind her says.

There's the impression of the gleam of teeth underneath the glowing eyes in front of her.

[Samantha McManus]

"When I see you like this, I don't know how you can be down on yourself. Look at you. Both of you. You're figuring this out."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Sometimes, things sink in," says the behind voice.

An arm extends from the fog in front of her, several old scars visible on the back of it.

[Samantha McManus]

"You've earned your scars, but you're more than just your scars."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Sometimes all I see are the scars," says the voice in front of her, fur rippling up the arm before it vanishes back into the fog.

[Samantha McManus]

"I see how strong you've become. I don't think you're broken."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"One of the reasons we love you and Vivienne," says the voice behind her.

"You see what we cannot," chimes in the forward voice.

[Samantha McManus]

"You're both coping better than I thought. I should trust you more about that."

"But I'm never going to let you forget what I see when I look at you."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"We'll hold for now. The pack will need us."

"You make sure you're okay."

[Samantha McManus]

"I will," she nods, and starts to retreat back into the real world.

"Should've taken your word for it. Sorry."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Given recent events, being skeptical is understandable," Tereza says.

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye well... even if it's not sorted yet I think you're headed in a good direction."

"And it's not me that did that, it's you."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"You were a part of it though."

[Samantha McManus]

"What, worrying about me?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

She nods, "You're a part of the pack."

[Samantha McManus]

"I know you don't mean it like this, but when you do that I always feel like I let you down."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"How so?" She tilts her head.

[Samantha McManus]

"It feels like I'm not doing enough, aye? Like if I was pulling my weight, you wouldn't have to worry."

[Tereza Rozanov]

She reaches out and touches Sam's face, "You worry that I'm not okay, I'm worried that you're not. It has nothing to do with your capabilities."

[Samantha McManus]

"I guess I don't... prioritize myself too well, sometimes."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I love that you concern yourself with others, but sometimes you need to look out for you."

[Samantha McManus]

"I'll... figure it out. Maybe Tosh will be able to help me find out if it's just me or something else."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"If I can help, let me know," she says, leaning forward and giving Sam a kiss.

[Samantha McManus]

"I will. Just want to... lighten your load for now, aye?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I'll do what I can to share the load," she promises.
