[Social] I'm Swinging On My Shadow

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza makes a thoughtful noise, "Interesting."

[Samantha McManus]

"...which one am I talking to? You're usually more... chatty?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza ponders that for a moment, "Hard to say." She'd shrug, but having a bar across your shoulders makes that difficult.

[Samantha McManus]

"Did you... make up, or something?"

"I mean, it's great if you did."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"We had a fight," she says, eyes still straight ahead as if she's focusing on the squats and trying to maintain her form.

[Samantha McManus]

"What, and you don't know who came out on top?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"It hasn't really come up," she says, finishing her set.

[Samantha McManus]

"I guess you don't... want me to help out with that, or anything."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"I'm not really sure what you'd do," she says, stretching as she looks thoughtfully puzzled.

[Samantha McManus]

"Well it was kind of dire in there the last time, aye?"

"You're... a bit wolfish right now, but not fully. It took me a bit to twig to it. You're..."

"...not talking like either of them completely."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"You're certainly welcome to take a look, but I don't need you to look or anything."

[Samantha McManus]

"I'm just trying to..."

"I know it's not my place to fix you, but I don't want to see you hurting, either."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Well, I'm not hurting," Tereza says, "So I guess that's all good then." She moves over and sits on one of the benches, resting for a moment.

[Samantha McManus]

"Am I... making a mountain out of a mole hill, here?" She says, sitting down next to Tereza.

"I guess I could be on a hair trigger after all the shite that's gone on."

[Tereza Rozanov]

Sitting this close, Sam's telepathic sense and her link with Tereza gives her the impression of smelling wood smoke and something that smells like burning hair or fur. "It's a possible. A lot to watch out for with the new administrator."

[Samantha McManus]

"...you had a hell of a fight," she says, blinking as she gets that flash.

[Tereza Rozanov]

She nods, "It was... full throated."

[Samantha McManus]

"That's almost a tease," she smirks nervously.

"But you did say I could, so..."

[Tereza Rozanov]

Tereza shrugs, "If you want."

[Samantha McManus]

"I'll be quick about it. In and out."

Sam closes her eyes and descends into Tereza's mind.

[Tereza Rozanov]

The clearing is covered in some combination of smoke and fog that make it hard to see very far. The fire in the middle is burning quite insistently on some large chunks of broken wood and some furs that seem to be where most of the smoke is coming from. Sam can just make out one of the trees close to her and there are jagged shards of something embedded in it. She can sense that there are two presences in the fog, but she can't immediately see them.

[Samantha McManus]

"It's ah... it's just me?" She calls out into the fog.

"...well, it's not either of them burning," she mutters as she spies what's left of the throne in the fire.

She heads for the edge of the clearing, inspecting the trees.

[Tereza Rozanov]

It looks like more bits of the throne, edges sharp and rough. A glowing pair of eyes appear into her fog on the left, "Pardon our mess." The eyes wink out and a pair open in the fog on the right, "You've caught us at a strange time."

[Samantha McManus]

"I just... wanted to make sure you were both alright."

"And I... ah... regret missing this, a little."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"It was not pretty."

"It was glorious."

She sees two silhouettes moving in the fog, but the outlines are indistinct, sometimes woman and sometimes monster.

[Samantha McManus]

"So ah... new arrangement? Out with the throne, in with the lurking in the primeval forest?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Maybe."

"It has its appeal."

[Samantha McManus]

"There's definitely some... top-notch ambiance going on here. You know, when you get over the smell of burning hair."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"The furs will be gone eventually."

"They're just some... things that must be dealt with."

[Samantha McManus]

"Right. I ah... I know what the throne was when it was there."

"The two of you seem... more fluid. I think that might be a good thing?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Maybe."

"Hard to say."

[Samantha McManus]

"...right. Got that."

"Don't suppose either of you needs... your wounds tended to?"

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Love..." says a voice from ahead of her.

Then a hand slides across the back of her shoulders as a silhouette disappears back into the fog and another voice behind her says, "Are you just trying to get your hands on us?"

[Samantha McManus]

"I mean I wouldn't..."

"We're... ah... in public."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Oh, I know..." says the voice behind her.

"And?" says the voice from in front of her.

[Samantha McManus]

"...I am bizarrely, intensely attracted to you right now. Just to get that out there."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"Then we'll have to do something about that soon," the voice behind her growls in her ear before vanishing back into the fog and smoke.

"But, as you said, we're in public right now," the glowing eyes in front teased.

[Samantha McManus]

"I would... not have expected this particular reception after all the worrying you were doing about me out there."

[Tereza Rozanov]

"We're still worried," the voice in front sobers.

"But you're so fun to tease," says the voice behind her.

[Samantha McManus]

"Look, if the two of you can do... do this."

"Then I can get my shite together. You deserve it."
