"I doubt anyone around here expects you to be." She crushes the remainder of the ice and sprinkles it in her hair, dusting off her hands. "The rough-and-tumble is kind of nice sometimes."

"Aye? Just something about the sheer physicality of it."

"Sounds like someone who's owning what she wants in life," she opens her eyes with a smile.

"I've got a good teacher," she grins.

"Now who's buttering who up?"

"Doesn't hurt to admit that you're helping me, aye?"

"It doesn't. I get that it's a lot to break through though. Other's expectations that is."

"Bit of a trip, coming with more than one lifetime of expectations. I guess they're not much different than the normal set, since some feel like they fit, and some don't."

"Just a different quantity," Tereza agrees, "And always up to you which ones matter."

"This business about souls isn't going to go away though. At least, I don't think it will. Load-bearing."

"Well, I suppose that will be dealt with as it comes. I can't say that I understand it."

"Makes two of us. But it's my function, I suppose. So I just keep stumbling across it."

"I mean, if you want it to be your function, more power to you."

"Just don't think I'm going to get anywhere by sticking my fingers in my ears and singing loudly, you know?"

"I mean you could just say 'no', but that wouldn't keep people from trying, I guess."

"It's a thing I can do. Just seems... I don't know, wasteful to not be everything I can, aye?"

"I *can* do a lot of things, but doesn't mean I want to. But it sounds like this has your interest."

"I think I'd just like it to stop blindsiding me, if I'm honest."

"So maybe you should go looking for it instead."

"But where? Tosh looks at me like I've grown a second head when I talk about it. And usually, I haven't."

"This may not be something the Science Squad can help you with. Maybe there's some other source or way to investigate?"

"I guess I could ask the Headmistress if she's willing to let me use Cerebra a bit."

"Viv and I have a full moon coming up, so it could keep you busy while we're otherwise occupied."

"I guess I should still give you two your space during the moon."

"I'm not saying you have to, just making a suggestion."

"I know. Just have to remind myself I'm not quite one of the wild things," she smirks.

"None of us is quite what any of the others are, but we don't want to exclude you."

"It's not a problem. I usually get a little backwash from you two during the full moon. It's... interesting."

"Maybe that'll make you that much more the hunter," she laughs slightly.

"Sounds like that's you owning what you like," she chuckles.

"Not entirely sure what you mean," Tereza says, raising an eyebrow.

"Just seemed like that's a way you'd like to see me. A hunter?"

"Sometimes you want to chase, sometimes you want to be chased," Tereza says with a shrug.
