Mira was floating through the various areas down at the rec center, passing through the walls to check out the weight room, the pool, the sauna, etc...

She always felt so competitive here as people did all the sports things.

Several low growls followed by a few grunts and multiple impacts against the gymnastics floor mats greeted Mira before she saw the source of the noise: a large werewolf in a gymnastics uniform doing a complex series of flips, but flubbing the final landing.

Stephanie snarled as she picked herself up then jumped up with a surprised yelp and whipped around to see Altamira, the source of the sudden voice. She hadn't heard her approach at all.

"Sorry...You scared me," she panted a bit.

"Oh, geez, didn't mean to! You just looked so adorable in your uniform, I had to say hello."

Stephanie stared blankly back at Mira for a moment. "...I look ridiculous."

Her words were a bit hard to understand, mangled as they were by her muzzle, but she was getting better at talking like this.

Part of her bristled at being called an adorable pup, and she barely suppressed a growl from rising out of her throat.

"I'm Stephanie," she introduced herself, trying to change the subject.

Steph couldn't bring herself to bite the stranger but she did reach out a clawed finger to ever so gently poke at the offered appendage.

It went right through, passing through harmlessly on the other side.

"I'm not really here. I'm a telepathic presence inside of your mind; you just THINK you're seeing and hearing me, but I'm actually somewhere else."

Mira then reached up and scratched Stephanie behind an ear. THAT made contact -- or did Steph just think it made contact?

"Yes and no. My actual body is lying in the med center back that way, but I have a telepathic and telekenetic...presence, for lack of a better word. I can make people see and feel me."

Steph stepped out through the exit of the gym, holding the door for Mira. "How long have you been here?"

She walked through the wall to outside.

"It can be, but also -- like, you know those doors at the supermarket? The ones that go 'whoosh'? They don't do that for me. I can go right through them, but if someone needs me to trigger those kinds of things, they're going to faceplant."
