[Social] Something Something Bartender with a Long Face

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

A fully wolfed out Stephanie stood behind the bar in an empty Pub, wearing a black apron, and idly drying pint glasses with a clean dish rag.

Open. I have no idea what's going on, but figured I'd throw something out here and try to get back into it.

[Samantha McManus]

Sam makes her way in, looking a bit down. She takes a seat at the bar.

"Not too many customers over the summer, aye?"

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Hey Sam," Stephanie replied, her tail wagging cheerfully, much to her chagrin.

It had a tendency to knock things off the bar if she wasn't mindful of it. Which it just did with a pint glass.

She sighed. "I hate this darn thing sometimes."

[Samantha McManus]

"You do have the option of... ah... not having it, aye?"

"Or are you starting to get comfortable like this?"

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"I am getting more comfortable letting her out but....I...sometimes get stuck still," she mumbled, clearly a bit embarrassed.

She'd probably be blushing if she wasn't covered in fur.

[Samantha McManus]

"I don't think there's anything wrong with being that, but you could probably say I'm biased."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie chuckled, "Yeah....maybe a smidge..."

She began to busy herself with cleaning up the broken glass as she continued to chat with her friend.

"You look a little blue. Everything okay?

[Samantha McManus]

"Have a friend who's in a bad way right now. Tried to help, not sure I managed."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Well. You're fortunate in that your bartender is also your friend, so you have a doubly good excuse to vent about it. Whiskey? Beer? What's your poison?"

[Samantha McManus]

She considers for a moment.

"...feels like a whiskey night."

"Guess you heard about our visitors?"

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Ah the...time travelers? Dimension travelers?"

Stephanie stroked her .... well not quite chin. Under-muzzle area? Lower jaw? And looked over the bottles of whiskey. She tentatively grabbed one, and offered it to Sam.

"I assumed Irish whiskey, and I've been enjoying this one lately--does Powers work for you?"

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye, that sounds about my speed tonight."

"They don't even know what mutants are, so they're really not from around here."

"One of them came back and attacked Will's mirror."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Steph frowned as was about to pour. "What? Why on earth would they do that? Though, I was hazy on what they were doing here in the first place, let alone coming back and attacking a mirror..."

She looked across the bar, "Did you want this neat, or with a fancy clear ice ball, since I've perfected making those on the slow days here? I think I did finally convince my manager to buy some whiskey rocks too."

"I don't even know. Not all of Will was even there when it happened, and we've been getting bits and pieces of what happened from the ones who were scattered about."

"But like, they've got a Will in their universe too, I guess? And she's not fond of him. She almost attacked him while I was there."

"Mineral water, if you've got it."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie dug around behind the bar before retrieving a bottle of mineral water and sliding it across the bar to let Sam dilute her whiskey to her liking. She poured generously from the bottle and kept it nearby since it was pretty dead in the bar.

"While you were there?" she asked. "Did you go back to their....universe?"

"No, while she was in our dorm suite. Just saw him, almost went off."
