[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

Thrax almost found himself without words before he figured out what to say. With a shrug, he said, "I, err, knew a green shapeshifter once. Guess that's why."

[Robin Stanton]

"What, like a Skrull?" Robin makes an educated guess.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Yes! Exactly!" he responded with a grin that quickly fell into look of 'Oh, fuck'.

"I, err, mean, what's a Skrull?" he backpedaled.

[Robin Stanton]

"Aaaaalright, buddy, spill. Hardly anybody in this universe knows about Skrulls and especially not some random musician and since you don't know Shari you clearly haven't randomly bumped into the singular one on the planet."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

Thrax chugged down the drink he suddenly needed even more and, after the unavoidable belch, tilted his head in the direction of a corner booth. "Not here," he said conspiratorially before hurrying over to it.

[Robin Stanton]

Robin grins and hops off the barstool, proceeding to backwards heelies to the booth and onto the bench.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Seeing as you know all about aliens, I guess I'm not technically going against what the headmistress said," he rationalized as Robin took a seat. Making a show of hiding his mouth from the rest of the bar with with his large hand, he whispered with a smirk, "Because I'm totally not from this planet."

[Robin Stanton]

"Hah! Knew it! Well, not the alien part but the not being from around here part. This place is like a magnet for people like that, including yours truly. S'just a future dimension in my case."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Seriously? Well, I mean, that does explain a lot of what you said, but... Okay, I've never met anyone from another dimension! That's awesome!" Thrax grinned, sounding like someone no older than her even more than he already had. "And the future too!"

"For what it's worth, most of what I told you was true. Only my car is a spaceship and I wasn't robbed; I just don't have money I can actually, yanno, use."

[Robin Stanton]

"Nice! What planet are you from? Whaddaya doing in this corner of the universe?"

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

The question made him visibly uncomfortable, but he answered nonetheless. Though he didn't intend to tell her everything. "I'm from a world called Leucrotta. I pretty much just drift around looking for easy money and a good time. I picked up some radio waves and decided to check out where the good tunes were coming from." And not at all because the transmission made it seem like a decent place to hide. "But my engine went out and I had to make an emergency landing. At least I had enough luck to get stuck on a planet with a population I can blend in with."

He laughed. "Of course, it turns out I'm really bad at pretending to be one of you."

[Robin Stanton]

"Blending in is overrated anyway. You'll figure it out. You just need a crash-course in human stuff."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"You offering to teach me?" he asked hopefully. "The only others I've met are your headmistress and... well, Mooncalf seems to have more trouble humaning than I do."

[Robin Stanton]

"Dunno who that is but Ash's not exactly the expert on being a regular human. Or mutant." she nods. "Whaddaya wanna know? I'm a bit ahead of the curve, coming from a more enlightened time, of course, but people are people. They're just a bit less... friendly to folks who break the mold overall."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"My world accepted its Gifted long ago. It's... strange and disheartening to see yours treated as they are. Not to say my people are so enlightened that everyone is accepted equally. Believe it or not, I'm actually on the small side for my species. If it wasn't for my Gift, that would be the only thing people back home would see," he said wistfully, as if he'd welcome that over not seeing home again.

Shaking off his near melancholy, he asked, "Are there many places like this? Schools for Mutants?"

[Robin Stanton]

"A couple here and there but nothing this big except the one in the US. The only university. There's a small nation of mutants but... well they're kind of militantly anti-humans."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Ugh. What a primitive mindset," he sighed. Of course, he had only thought that his people had left such tribal nonsense behind. Instead, it had just been simmering underneath the surface for over a millennium.

"Onto something less depressing! So, what can you tell me about this nation they call the United Kingdom?"

[Robin Stanton]

"Oh boy... As to not make us humans look any worse than I already did, lemme just sum up the history of it as being the reason for many, many independence day celebrations in countries around the world and move on." she starts.

"We actually do have a King." she starts, second guessing herself for a moment. "Wait, is that... yeah. But he's mostly just a figurehead. The UK is really just a big ol' mish-mash of people nowadays. There's the Scottish, the Irish, the Welsh and the British but especially in London there's people from all over. Which is good cause they brought decent food with them. We love tea, well not me, it's alright but some folks love tea. Oh yeah! Tea's kind of a liquid extract of certain dried leafs. You already had some beer, that's a worldwide thing and there's better ones than what we make." she chuckles. "There's all kinds of old stories here about magical things, some of which are true! But the Fae mostly stay in their own little world. Still, lot of folklore and historic things."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Oh, we have tea. I mean, we don't call it that, but it's the same idea. And boy do we have alcohol, just not the liquid bread kind," he answered with a chuckle.

"The stuff we made at the monastery was amazing. Booze, not tea, though we had that... too..." He trailed off upon realizing he had slipped up and let something personal slip. There wasn't any danger of the bounty hunter sniffing her out, but it still made him sad to mention it.

[Robin Stanton]

"What is it with monks and booze? Pretty sure beer was invented by monks here."

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Isn't it obvious?" Thrax asked with an irreverent smirk. "Monasteries are boring as fuck." He barked a laugh.

[Robin Stanton]

"So how come you ended up at a monastery?"

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

Fuck.

"It's where the Stormborn—that's what we call our Gifted—are expected to go to learn to use our abilities for the betterment of all Leucrotta. It's not the law or anything, but it brings great shame to refuse the call." He didn't want to mention getting chosen to be a Stormsinger. The less these people knew about anything directly related to the relic, the better.

[Robin Stanton]

"Oof, I'm suddenly glad I grew up at a school instead." she chuckles.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Don't get me wrong, it was an honor to be there. They taught me a lot about myself and what I can do, and even how to fight; I'm just not good at sitting still and meditating on the universe, as you can no doubt guess."

And here comes the lie.

"My irreverent nature turned out to be incompatible with what they wanted from me, so I left." It was hard to say, but the truth would make him a subject for pity and he didn't want any more of that.

[Robin Stanton]

"Well, no one's gonna try to get you to sit still and meditate here. Actually, there probably is but you're under no obligation to listen to them." she laughs.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Good!" he laughed. "Because those people are so unbelievably dull it hurts."

"So, okay, back to my crash course in humanity. What music is normal and what will make people look at me funny and should I care if they do?"

[Robin Stanton]

"I mean, what's normal, right? But you can never go wrong with Ska." she nods, clearly convinced of this herself. "But hell, give it that alien spice! Nothing more human than playing something wild and stupid. Hell this is the planet that produced a song of a woman just repeating 'number nine' over and over. Gimme that space-warble ska. Space-funk electro-swing!"

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"You'll have to show me. Ska, not the number nine thing. That sounds terrible."

"Also, wild and stupid is right up my alley," he chuckled with a grin.

[Robin Stanton]

"Lucky for you, we got an old... streambox? No, it was called something else... Jukebox! That's the one." she says, hopping off of her seat and making her way over to it. Some scrolling later (thank god it at least had a touchscreen) she puts on some music.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

Thrax's brow raised at first, the alien unsure about what he was hearing. Then, slowly, he began to get into it, bobbing his head in time with the music. He suddenly hopped to his feet and held out a hand to the pink mutant. "Would the lady care to dance?" he asked with a grin.

[Robin Stanton]

"Hmm, I dunno, do I?" she asks and as an answer starts dancing to the upbeat music.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

Thrax instantly found his rhythm and moved to the music in perfect time. For a being his size, he was impressively graceful as he weaved around the pink-haired girl. Of course, he dancing style was somewhat rowdy and chaotic but he pulled it off. One might wonder if that was how his people did things or just how he was. In truth, it was a bit of both; peaceful as they had been before the fall, the Crocutans were at heart still a race of warriors. Denying that part of themselves had been their society's undoing.

He flashed a grin at her. Was he flirting? Yes. Yes, he was. "Impressive moves. It's like you have no bones."

[Robin Stanton]

"That's cause I don't!" she smirks. And indeed, Robin's dancing is fluid, even when a lot of sudden movements to energetic music is involved. And as if to prove a point she flips into a backwards handstand and back to her feet, though her body compresses and extends so much it's more akin to a bouncing spring than athleticism.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"Oh?" Thrax returned a toothy smirk. Was it getting breezy in there? "We're showing off, are we? Well, two can play at that game."

The breeze grew slightly as the big guy smugly crossed his arms and rose into the air, his narrow mane waving in the current he was creating. Grinning, he said, "Your move."

[Robin Stanton]

"Well I was dancing, but if you insist." she grins and hops onto a table. Which proceeds to come to live, wiggling and spinning as Robin dances on top of it.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

Thrax barked a laugh. "Well, okay, that's more impressive than what I'm doing."

He turned in the air and clapped his hands together. As he moved them apart, a ball of electricity formed between them. Then, he--

"Nope!" the bartender interjected. "None of that in here! Are you trying to start a fire?"

The alien let the ball dissipate and dropped to the floor. With a sheepish grin, he said, "Yeah, I... may have, possibly, gotten a little carried away there."

[Robin Stanton]

"Oh like they don't have fire extinguishers under the bar for just such an occasion." Robin chuckles but does hop off the table and directs it to settle back into place. It even uses one of it's legs to grab the menu holder thingie and put it back on top of itself.

[Thraxion Ord'Rakar]

"What does it take to get into trouble unnoticed around here?" Thrax asked with a mischievous, conspiratorial smirk. He was bored just waiting patiently to find out if the headmistress even could fix his ship. But, at the same time, he didn't want to give her a reason to decide he wasn't worth the trouble.

[Robin Stanton]

"Depends on the kind of trouble, really. You looking to prank some folks?" she smirks.
