Wanda had a peaceful flight and ride back to the school, returning before break was properly finished. She settles into a chair in the XUB, opening a thermos of coffee she'd made for herself and sipping at it while she flips through her journal, studying the pages carefully.

"Back among the concrete jungle, are you?" Isolde says idly as she approaches.

"Hmm?" Wanda says, looking up. "Oh... Isolde. Yes, I suppose I am. It was time for me to be back." Something about her is... peaceful, slightly serene even.

"Taking what better? Being hunted? Is this where you tell me it was a double-double bluff and you're still after me?" She grabs a nearby paper cup and pours some coffee into it, pushing it in Isolde's direction.

"No, I think you're in the clear for a bit. The bloodsuckers have shipped off," she says as she sits down across from Wanda.

"If that's going to be a continuing concern, I'll have to figure out some way to deal with that." She sets her journal down on the table, picking up her coffee to sip it. Before the book closes, Isolde gets a glimpse of the symbology drawn in the book, along with questions or other notes written in a tight, neat script..

Wanda regards Isolde for a moment, then apparently decides there's no harm in telling her. "In a vision. There was a cave and there were vines on the wall that grew in patterns like this. There was a voice there, talking about the Tree of Life and the Chamber of Guf. I'm familiar with the former, I haven't had a chance to research the latter."

Wanda rolls her tongue around in her mouth, like someone probing the gap of a missing tooth. "Yes... I can feel the... absence. It's like a hole telling me *something* is missing. Is this where you give me your resume?"

"And I'm hiring now, not later," she says, "I could select Sam, but that is presuming a lot on my part. I could select her girlfriend, but I have a feeling both of them might object. Vivienne is capable, but again, she has problems of her own. I need someone who wants to help me put down those roots we talked about."
