Tosh sat at a bistro table with what passed for dinner in the current emergency situation, working on equations on his laptop while he ate.

[Roland Sackville]

Professor Roland Sackville nodded to the people manning the cafeteria line, thanking them as he got his own plate.

He sat down at a table nearby Tosh and began to eat.

Tosh glanced over and suddenly swallowed wrong, causing a nasty coughing fit.

[Roland Sackville]

"Small bites, young man," Roland said, without looking over.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"You," he coughed, "You aren't from this universe... right?"

[Roland Sackville]

"I don't believe so, though stranger things have happened.

What about you? Is this home base for you?"

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Yeah," he answered, relieved. "For better or worse."

[Roland Sackville]

"Well, I apologize for intruding.

Roland Sackville, professor of history."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Toshiro Narumi. Hypertech major."

"Sorry about my reaction. The you I've met said he'd kill me if we met again."

[Roland Sackville]

"And he didn't succeed the first time? You must be more formidable than you look," Roland half-smiled.

[Toshiro Narumi]

"He and I never actually fought. I mostly just figured out what he was up to and we stopped him from hurting my friend."

"My powers make me strong, but hardly a match for an immortal, legendary warrior."

"I only knew as much as I did because I met him first as Finn McCool."

[Roland Sackville]

"Then you must be much older than you look, as well."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"Time travel, actually. Not as fun as people think.''

[Roland Sackville]

"So I can see," Roland said, looking around. "Though I suppose this is slightly different."

"This is even more dangerous to the fabric of reality, as many are involved."

[Roland Sackville]

"The fabric of reality, I've gathered in my old age, can generally speaking take care of itself, if one is willing to roll with the changes."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"You're probably right. But this situation is a change I could live without."

[Roland Sackville]

"Well, I'm sure our boffins will come up with some solution, though I'll be damned if I'll be able to understand it."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"I am one of those boffins and I can't honestly say I understand it all. But then I'm just a freshman."

[Roland Sackville]

"I'm sure you'll come through, lad. Chin up."

[Toshiro Narumi]

"If I passed the Fianna trials in one piece, I can do this," he smirked.
