"I don't feel so..." Diego moaned. He may be extra agile, but he fell all the same. His eyes lit up on instinct and he traced the line of energy from himself to the energy vampires. He tried to rise but found he couldn't.

"A fight against a campus full of super powered people?" Sean asked before he began chanting and crimson bands formed from seemingly nothing anchored to the ground and crawled towards Ian and Sookie to bind them.

"Yeeeah. Bad idea shitbirds," Shane added, an array of vines bursting from his faux-robe and racing to entangle the duo.

Chase raced to Basil's side. "Basil! Are you okay?" he asked worriedly before staring daggers at the twins.

Jezabelle struggled to catch herself as a sudden wave of fatigue hit her, but she had already been leaning back so her attempt to grab the bar failed. She tumbled off the bar stool like a toddler... or like a normal patron on a Friday night. From across the bar came a sudden little scream of fright from the goo girl as she had to catch a Jex puppet that had gone completely comatose.

"Diego!" Chisaki exclaimed, kneeling down to get him off the floor.

"I am sorry! I did not think rejection hurt in that way!"

Basil wasn't responding to Chase's address to him. He laid motionless and unresponsive on the floor of the bar, which was probably one of the worst places one could lay save a bathroom floor.

There wasn't any sense in keeping up appearances, the aura that had surrounded Ian faded and his true appearance became apparent. Kudu-like horns twisted out of his thick hair, and the markings over his body glowed all the brighter. Sigils similar to those he had marked on the table were quickly burned into the floor surrounding the two, a golden sheen flickering upward like some sort of shield as the chains collided with the edge of the circle.

"I swear, you provide a service and everyone gets upset when you expect a little payment."

Sookie likewise dropped her glamour to reveal herself to have a set of ram-horns that sprouted out and back, curling around her ears, and a tail. She did not have wings like her brother, but why that might be wasn't readily evident. The glyphs on her skin glowed with the same eerie light as her brother's.

As she stood looking rather bored at the superheroics, the tarot cards she'd been using proved to be more magical than Ian's tea set. They flew to meet Shane's vines, slicing through them like kitchen knives through vegetables.

"Humans never appreciate anything you give them. You never seem to learn that."

"Looks to me your taking more than giving. Besides, you only have your bloody self to blame if you don't state your price beforehand. So fuck off you demonic bint."

He grew more vines and used them to flick tranquilizing needles at Sookie.

"Wonderful, first the universes collide and now a pair of demons," Sean said letting Shane and the others take the offense.

Sean for his part looked for connections between the demons and the other students, so that he could try to sever them.

"Yes, well your little mash-up certainly helped. With so many people throwing so much magic around all of a sudden, who would notice two more?"

To someone like Sean the connections were quite obvious, appearing like smoke rising from the forms of the students and being drawn into the pair, making their runes grow all that much brighter.

In an instant, everyone paying attention would realise why Ian had wings and Sookie did not.

Blinking out of existence for a moment with a puff of smoke, Sookie reappeared only feet away from where she originally stood.

BAMF.

You wouldn't think by her composure that she'd only narrowly missed Shane's attack.

"I'm not supposed to hurt you child.... but you're severely pissing me off."

Sookie seemed to take active notice of the flock, and she was none too keen on it.

Instead of moving closer to the bar and their victims, she began blinking multiple times in a backward motion towards the door.

"Iiiiiiaaaaaannnmn, let's go!"

Ian extended his wings and, with a flap, was airborne in pursuit of his sister. Which put him outside of that protective rune he'd made, and closer to the ravens. Seems they knew when they were licked and were trying to beat a hasty retreat.

Sean chanted while the others fought and began trying to dismantle the connections so they wouldn't get sucked dry. Even with the twins on the run he didn't want to bet the farm on distance breaking the connections.

As Ian flies out of the inscribed ward the flock descends upon him, assailing his mind and trying to ground him.

The links between the students and the 'cubi were fast-flowing, but not very tough, focused more on getting as much as they could rather than as long as they could, so the magician would find themself able to sever the connections one by one. Getting that energy back, well, that didn't seem as likely.

Without Sean's chains, and with Shane's vines going after his sister, Ian thought himself in the clear. Until his brain started getting pecked at by birds and sent him to the ground. What's a demon to do? His markings flared as he channeled the absorbed power into his hands and casting a couple of massive, real-world fireballs in the general direction of where the ravens had originated from, without much regard for what may be standing in between.

Sean paused after breaking the connections to take stock of the situation. That was of course about when Ian started throwing fireballs in an enclosed space, which would probably kill them all.

"Oh, bollocks," Sean exclaimed as he gathered and pushed energy into one of his rings to generate a barrier between the other students, himself included, and imminent pyroclastic doom. The enchanted ring began to glow brightly as Sean pushed the enchantment to its limits. He could already feel the ring burning his hand.

Sookie took notice of how much the fire alarmed the others, but didn't continue to lay down a volley. Ian had it covered. Instead, she blipped out of sight, following the same path as her brother for escape.

Sam ducks behind Sean's shield, but the unseen flock is still on the move, her mind trying to hold Ian in place so he can't throw more fire.

"Looks like she's abandoned you!" she calls out to Ian, trying to foster a feeling of hopelessness so she can more easily hold him.

The fire hit Sean's shield and flared outward, spreading over its surface. And just as it began to singe some of the decorations and nearby furniture... it dissipated. It had been fire, and it HAD been there, but it looks like it had been more for show and intimidation, maybe out of panic, than an attempt to obliterate every occupant in the room.

"Go to bed!" While Sam might not understand the exact phrase, from the tone it sounded like he didn't believe her. With a sweep of his hand, ethereal bats took shape out of the smoke still hanging in the air, swarming toward the shield between Ian and the others. So Sam wasn't the only one who could make winged not-real pests. All to try and cover their tracks as the siblings tried to beat a hasty retreat.

Sam would get the feeling of a heightened sense of panic, but also tangible relief as it appeared that Ian must've run into his sister who must have been preparing something, but between smoke from the fireball and bats it was probably hard to say what was going on exactly.

Sean shields flared and then flared again as bats swarmed against it blocking lines of sight and giving cover for the twins fleeing. Sean would feel the build up of magic as one of the twins prepared something, but he probably couldn't tell what and he definitely couldn't see through a whole colony of bats or the slowly clearing smoke caused by Ian's previous spell. However, there was an intense smell of sulfur and the sense of magical power flared brightly for a moment followed by a thunderous clap as the twins disappeared from everyone's senses. Likely with sly grins, but also an intense sense of relief at having made a getaway.

"Bloody demons," Sean groused loudly as the bats untethered from their source of magic unmade themselves quickly becoming so many flakes of falling ashes.

Colette had been holding a comatose Jezabelle puppet, that only began to stir once the demonic energy had disappeared from the quad. Chase was attending to Basil, and while she wanted badly to check on him she found herself being weakly clung to by the woman. She wound up trying to scoop her up into her arms, but jelly is not known for it's carrying capacity so it became more of a drag than a carry, moving to "deposit" her back in her host.

Basil roused easily enough, though he was groggy and confused . He reached out from his position on the floor, and shook Jezabelle Prime by the shoulder.

The puppet master was out of it, looking just about as weak as her copy, until Colette dragged it toward her. When it was "dropped" into her she let out a sharp gasp, blinking and groaning and actually starting to move around.

"What... what was in those drinks?"

Slowly, all of the students effected by the spell would come round in their own time, though the insatiable need to act on their hidden desires wasn't as easy to shake. However, the magic savvy would deduce that the effect would diminish and eventually recede in time and with adequate rest, everyone should be back to normal soon.

The attack on the party and it's hosts took the steam out of the festivities and while no one officially broke up the merriment, a somber nature to the nights events now loomed. Jezabelle and Basil would be taken away by Colette and Chase, leaving the rest of the Pride society to pick up after those who'd linger were all done.
