Xaviers!

The XUB bar had been busy lately with everything going on and Tereza was back behind the bar, working a double shift to cover for someone else. She didn't mind. It gave her hands and her brain something to do. The monitor on her wrist beeped and she exhaled a foggy, frosty breath before taking another deep breath that came out more normal. She set two beers up on the bar, nodding to the wait staff who picked them up and going back to looking after other things.

"Back in the saddle, aye?" Sam asks as she approaches.

"Trevor decided to spend the night drinking, since he can actually get drunk and asked me to take his shift. Figured the extra money couldn't hurt. But it's been busier than I expected." She rolled her shoulder and the joint made a noise, "Can I get you something?"

"I think everyone's still a little shellshocked and wanting to get a bit numb. I could do with a beer."

She grabs a glass and begins filling it, "So what's been keeping you busy?"

"Re-powering folks took up a bit, and then I still had classes."

"Didn't sleep well either. Weird-arse dreams."

She raises an eyebrow, "Weird how?" It's definitely a fishing question.

"It was vaguely Arthurian, but the characters were all jumbled up, and Viv's mum was King Arthur."

Tereza stares at her for a moment. This results in her pouring the beer just a bit too long and it overflows a bit. "Oh shit," she says, shaking the beer off her hand, before grabbing a towel and wiping off the glass as she tries to hand Sam the beer.

"...something I said?" She asks, taking the glass.

She starts drying off her hands, "Sort of. I had a dream kind of like that myself. She seemed really pissed with me."

"Something about you cheating on her with me?"

"I think maybe. Some parts of it are kind of a blur," she says, setting the towel aside and pouring two more beers that she sets over for a server to grab.

"Seems like one of us was getting mental backwash from the other."

"Maybe. Did she say something about making you a swineherd before you woke up?"

"That's... weirdly specific, but aye."

"Yeah, I remember that bit because she was distinctly saying it about you. I was... some king's daughter I think?"

"Aye, and for me I was her squire I think."

"It's got a kind of narrative to it, but it was still bloody weird."

"I mean, no weirder than anything else I guess, but this isn't a weirdness contest."

"I wonder if she had the dream too. I know we get a taste of her every now and again."

"Maybe, I doubt her phone works at her mom's. We need to roadtrip to her soon."

"Aye. Maybe I should tell the Headmistress she owes me a favor and get your ankle nanny taken off."

"I've been meaning to talk to her about it myself, but I figured she has other things to worry about right now. Definitely want it off before summer."

"Saves us the trouble of freaking them out when we go to no-bars land to fetch Viv."

"I wonder what the GPS location of 'fairy pocket dimension' is," she says with a smirk.

"Just a string of question marks. It'd vex them."

"I imagine she has other things to worry about than me at the moment anyway."

"She has the same problem Viv suddenly had. She's human. Ish."

"So the rumors are true then?"

"She's in Natalie's former body, somehow. Tooled it up with nanites. Still sweaty, odd, and possibly adolescent."

"Former? I know I've seen Natalie around the last couple of days, so she's not dead. Did everything just get weirder for everyone?"

"Apparently she's in some bizarre computer and can be multiple places at once? I can't explain it fully. You might have to ask the boffins."

"No thanks, I like my brain not hurting," she smirks, "I can just add it to the list of things I don't quite get and go 'Magic, got it.'"

"Oh, but that's the fun part. If you ask Tosh, he tries to explain it to you by leaving out the magic and saying it's all chemicals," she chuckles.

"You and your definition of fun," she teases.

"Maybe it's just fun for me because I'm one of the things he can't explain."

"Can't explain yet, he would tell you."

"I'm giving him a run for his money with this latest bit."

"Being able to see people's powers a bit outside the boffin wheelhouse is it?"

"And the idea that I know where they go when people die."
