Post-Issue 2: A wizard sketching

Located directly adjacent to the Rec Center is the Student Union building, housing a well-stocked bar and arcade, billiards and an open area with couches and coffee tables.

Post-Issue 2: A wizard sketching

Sean was tired despite getting some sleep and wasn't really sure what to do with himself. So he found himself sketching the people around him in the XUB while drinking coffee.

Nailah, recognizing Sean from the spectacle of tearing through dimensions from the other day, waves at him with her injured hand and immediately regrets it, still gritting her teeth a little when she makes it over to where Sean is sitting. "Hey. That was pretty amazing the other day. Was that really actual magic?" she asks, trying to sound skeptical, but there's a little bit of childlike wonder swinging in her voice.

Sean looked up at Nailah recognizing her from what happened. He put his sketchbook down and Nailah would probably see that the figures were moving, following along with the people they were representations of.

"Thanks," Sean said with a slight smile. "It was the genuine article though I'll admit I haven't quite managed to pull a rabbit out of a hat, yet."

Nailah is listening, but perhaps a bit rudely staring at his drawings instead of looking at Sean.

"That's so crazy. How does it work?" she asks, pointing at the moving drawings.

"The paper carries an enchantment that siphons a small amount of magic from me in order to mimic the things I draw," Sean says pointing at a lightly glowing blue symbol in the corner of the sketchpad. "When I break the enchantment the drawing becomes fixed in the paper."

Nailah nods, pretending that she's following along. "I bet you could make a bunch of money drawing cartoons."

Sean paused for a moment.

"Hmm... I dunno. I have wings so I can fly. Magneto controls metal. It all still kinda makes sense. But a tiny imp just pops up out of nowhere but can't escape a plastic box. Maybe there're just different rules, but it just doesn't really make sense."
