How Tereza had acquired the guitar was anyone's guess. It was an old beat-up acoustic model, but was somehow in tune. She was sitting on one of the couches in the lounge area, picking idly at the guitar as she worked the muscles back into their memories.

"Freebird!" Trev called out jokingly as he set his backpack down at one of the tables on the lounge. "Kidding," he chuckled. "Mind if I join you?"

"Go for it," Tereza said, gesturing to the opposite couch. "How's it going?"

"Learning to fly comes with a lot of bumps and bruises," he chuckled. "If not for the danger room, I think I'd have a few broken limbs."

"But hey, flight is flight and we don't really have anyone else on our team practiced at that sort of thing yet."

"I wouldn't call what I've accomplished "practiced"" he chuckled. "But I did at least manage to save my roommate without being a smear on the pavement myself, so I guess it's better than nothing."

"Better than I could do," she said with a chuckle.

"Yeah, but you could have made like. A giant slide. And then it would just be like a huge roller coaster and be awesome"

"Yeah, but not fast enough and not in the state I was in at the time. You're a solid member of the team, man. Don't sell yourself short."

"Years of practice at that," he smirked. "Wasn't that long ago that all I could do was yell loud and break things with my voice. Couldn't even focus the shout. Nearly deafened a lot of classmates at the Institute."

"I do a good enough job trying to deafen myself with my music," she chuckled, "I appreciate your ability to focus so I don't have any additional help in that department."

"Side bonus of my power? I can listen to music as loud as I want and never go deaf."

"Okay, just for that, you suck," she smirked.

"It's kind of awesome. I need to get some better headphones. And more tunes. Do you play much or just pick at a guitar every so often?" he asked, nodding at the guitar.

"I learned a few years ago when I had more time. It's been a bit since I picked one up though."
